There's reports he got bigger offers and turned them down to stay in LA. I find that HIGHLY doubtful.
^ i call BS as well. He may be only 22 but he SUCKS (sans a game or two in this years playoffs). I would rather sign Lin than Rivers .
OKC informed Portland that they are matching Kanter's contract offer. Let Harden go so you can spend the $$ on Kanter. I don't get it.
Brook Lopez, Thaddeus Young, Wayne Ellington, Coach Lionel Hollins and Mikhail Prokhorov went to his crib last night to make sure he commited. Bargnani told Divac he was on a date and refused to take his calls...
http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nba-b...the-kings--signs-with-brooklyn-233151159.html He turned down the Kings to go play with the Nets for the veterans minimum. LOL.
The situation with Harden is different. He made it clear he wanted to start and also wanted more touches on offense. As a 6th man, he is the focal point of the offense for the bench unit, but as a starter that would mean sharing the ball with Westbrook and KD, eating into their utilization. Also giving Harden a max contract meant hitting the tax, which a small cap team like OKC wanted to avoid. But with KD hitting free agency next year, losing Kanter now would very likely mean losing KD next year. OKC have not been in the tax for several years so I believe they will are willing to pay the tax this year hoping for KD to re-sign. Also, with the projected cap increase next year, they will avoid the tax even if they sign KD to a max contract.
Only reason Austin got that contract is doc being gm. No way another team gave him more than that, no way.
This guy was a number one pick wasn't he? He got a max rookie contract extension right? My goodness...
10 is still about 9.5 too much for him. Dude is just absolute garbage. My buddy is a Knicks fan and when he got traded there, my buddy tried to tell me he was going to break out. Today he's celebrating like the Knicks got the #2 pick.
Good ol' Bargs... the last reminder of how Raptors management (pre-Masai Ujiri) just absolutely SUCKED (Rafarel Araujo anyone)? Up here in Canada, we saw him a lot more in Primo Pasta & Sauce commercials more so than seeing him produce on the floor for the Raptors. I don't know what kind of voodoo Masai has but he's now 2 for 2 unloading bad contracts - bad fit players onto other teams (Rudy Gay being the other one).
http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/13298542/tyler-hansbrough-back-carolina-charlotte-hornets Tyler Hansbrough to the Hornets. I really think MJ has been mentally scarred since he drafted Kwame in Washington. He drafts and signs the complete opposite type of players now, which is prospects with a lot of collegiate success. Adam Morrison, Kemba Walker, Kaminsky, now Hansbrough to name a few.
@EJones06 he did take Biyombo. But I can't blame him, he swings, misses, and ends up with another Kwame then he'll likely be laughed at, booed, and fired. Frank the Tank is the best safe pick he's taken in awhile. Crazy T hustles his a** off, plus isn't afraid to mix it up regardless of who you are.
I'm so "meh" on this guy it's crazy. Seems like a hard worker and a good clean-up man but he's not worth more than 5/80 million. In fact I think he's worth much less. This is all extortion by LeBron on the Cavs to get his boy more money, but that's alright. If he's available next year and Tarik doesn't work out, maybe he's worth a look.
