Russell Westbrick Discussion: Clipper Gonna Clip

i'm confused as to why he'd leave denver? it's maybe the only team in the league that can actually play him because they have the ideal center pairing--otherwise, you're like us and houston and realizing that on offense, russ is your center, which makes lineups basically impossible to construct.

coach tries to go against russ (vogel)? fired. coach backs russ (malone)? fired.

only the sweet sweet baby jesus tyronn lue survives the russ. and he basically just kept his head down and survived it.

seriously, though, if i were a coach, i just wouldn't want to touch the russ situation. he's just too big of a personality. it was fine when he was good, but now that he's firmly a backup who should play 20mpg, it's just so tough to manage.

and i actually think the reports of him being basically a good guy off the floor makes it even harder? how do you sit him? he's a hofer. people love him. he plays hard and cares.
