Brick hits a few wide-open 3s, runs back, talking, "Ya better guard me!"

But then he bricks 2 FTs, shoots an airball, then his 3 misses the rim and only hits the backboard, etc: when he misses, it's often off-the-charts putrid. Just a horrible shot. As if, long ago, some malevolent wizard told him, "If you're going to miss, miss real bad. Like miss so badly a lot of people will think you were passing to a teammate and it went awry. Or you were trying to hit only the backboard, hoping Joker/Gordon/Porter Jr would get the board and put it in."

Why he would listen to some bad advice demon is anyone's guess. (I suspect he gets the yips sometimes as he's getting ready to shoot.)

I've never seen misses so hellaciously bad. What the actual F with this guy?

Anyway, glad we don't have to deal with him. The Brick Experience, indeed.

it's funny; he had a good day from three by his standards, but we still (wisely) refused to guard him. and you can tell it just burned him up.

and for all the talk about how great a fit he is there (and it is a good fit for him), they still don't want to put him out there in crunch time if they can avoid it.

...SMH how opponents are daring Westbrook to shoot by backing off. There were some instances today where he was at the elbow and whoever was guarding was five to seven feet away. I mean he can call Grubhub to deliver food as he SO MUCH time to take the shot.

As long as Russ can be Russ, he should be happy.

Must be nice to win a genetic lottery while being a total dumass and then ask every team to allow you to be dumass on their dime.

    And teams oblige.

eh, his last two teams have paid him vet min and been able to use him primarily off the bench. if he had accepted all those terms here, i'd have been fine with him, tbh. he just needed to get smacked down, and he got it.

The Lakers last night were possessed by the ghost of Brick in the last minute of the game.

He often saves his "best" for when the pressure's on and the game's on the line.

And by "best" I mean full-blown brickage.

In the 2ndOT: gotta go in the Brick scrapbook. "Highlights."

In a game when Joker had 61/10/10

    :LLLLLebronlaughing:

Please. Pretty please. Losing KD and replacing him with Russ. That's perfect. Imagine the 3 man closing group of Russ/Book/Beal. That's media content that would feed families.

*I know they'd get some return on KD, so the roster might not be *that* bad. But still. They're f***ed. Vegas has them getting even more f***ed. And...i like it!
