As for athletes getting in the faces of blowhards like Stephen A, I’m all for it!
We live in culture in which people can say anything about anyone online, whether true or made up, and get away with it 99.9% of the time. It’s been a large part of the downgrading of our culture since Al Gore brought us the internet.
In recent years, sports “hot takes” have taken it to another level.

Stephen A is a clown he claims it was weak and BS what LeBron did the other night. Nah what’s real weak is you not having the balls to say that to the man personally and saying it on a podcast. That’s the definition of cowardly behavior.

I'm not even sure I agree with the nepotism angle. Nepotism is really only detrimental if members within the organization are dissatisfied with perceived favoritism. In the case of Bronny, everyone seems to like him. The fans love him. He's not taking anyone's minutes as he only really plays in garbage time, and he's busting his arse in the G-league, so he's not unfairly promoted and not detrimental to the team's morale.

Only people outside the organization seem to dislike the situation, but tough s***. That's just jealousy and hate. Who are they to judge what's good or bad for the Lakers. Same for d***heads like SAS talking about bad parenting and family decisions made by Lebron and Savannah. They are great parents and Bronny is a great kid. F* off.

If I had the pull I'll get my boys to work with me, too lol I understand Lebron as a father and the history making possibilities of winning a ring with your son

Same here, all you can really ask is for your kids to have the best opportunities. That's why we work hard as parents. To get them to the best schools and set them up with the best possible career paths.

Lebron has earned his right to play with his son. If anyone is jealous try to stay in the league for 20+ years at a superstar level and prepare your son to play in the NBA. Then you can start talking.

I think Jr is doing everything he needs to do to make it in the league. I posted about that earlier in this thread. I do think one of the early criticisms that was tossed out there (and justifiably so imo) was that Bronny got a nice guaranteed contract even though he was expected to be a g-league level player. Now, I admit I don't know all the particulars off the top of my head but I do remember a lot of early chatter being around that (what it appears to be) preferential treatment because he is Bron's kid.

I for one don't knock Bron, Lakers FO or Bronny for it because Daddy James is the draw for the Lakers (now add Luka) and the FO wants to do what they can if they can while Daddy James wanted to play with his kid. The level of hate, especially after the flashes Bronny has shown, is whats crazy as hell to me.

If the Lakers were not going to draft him, then it’s nepotism.

If he’s getting the opportunity after basically missing his freshman year of college and putting up pedestrian stats at best, and he’s getting an opportunity because of his dad’s name, then it is nepotism.

it just is what it is whether we like it or not

now, whether people have a problem with it depends on whether the person performs or not. Jimmy Buss? Problem. Other Buss kids? Not so much.

No one's arguing if it's nepotism or not. It obviously is.

Whether that is detrimental to the Lakers organization is a different story. There are pros/cons to nepotism, and in the case of Bronny, there really are no cons. For one, he's already a fan favorite. He enhances brand loyalty so it makes sense from a business perspective. His G-league stats of 20/5/5 are not pedestrian but very promising for a 19 year-old rookie. He said he wants to follow the footsteps of a Marcus Smart or Derrick White . That type of player would be excellent next to Luka so I'm really looking forward to his development.

There really are no downsides to signing him except for maybe taking minutes from Cam Reddish lol
