Def crossed my mind…He should probably be on this list as well. Just wasn’t sure if he ran the offense like Magic/Bron/Luka or if he just got his all his stats while playing sf. Kinda like how Joker does it. Like Joker fills it up like Luka and Lebron but he does it from the center spot. Not sure if he could run point all game long and create for his team as a point guard, but Joker may have an argument to be on the list too. Feel me?

i commented on it in another thread, i think, but i'm not sure lebron could accept stepping down for reaves even if it was clear reaves was the better out-top initiator. he can with luka, and that will be a good development for everyone, perhaps especially lebron.

To be fair since DLO has been gone the lion’s share (60-40?) of initiating duties have gone to AR give or take, and Bron definitely trusts him to do it. Not to mention it’s a good thing that at any point in the game he’s been able to switch it up in instances when he thought it advantageous to do so, or if he felt he had to if others weren’t clicking and the game was slipping away. It will be awesome that any one of these 3 can change things up to push advantages on the court.

Look at how much energy he had in the 4th which enabled him to actually play some defense.

LeBron is one of the best iso jokic defenders in the league, maybe THE best.

I'm loving all the rim running he's been able to do for easy buckets. Definitely can extend his career if he wants it to.

Carried the Lakers tonight. Waited to see if Luka was going to go off but once he saw that it wasn't going to happen, took it into his own hands.

    At age 40!!!!!

Think he was pretty disinterested in this one and really didn't like the refs.

Changed in the 4th quarter when he saw Luka didn't have it and brought home the game. Real nice having the Lebron of old back on defense since AD was hurt

He kind of coasted on offense through 3 quarters, but having Luka allows him to do that more. Then, he had energy left in the 4th and used it for a 16 point quarter, a lot of good passing between he and Luka for that as well.

Man..LeBron is eating now with Luka

Getting easy buckets, and as a result of not having to handle the ball as much, he has more energy on defense.

Moderate signs of aging. Pretty crazy he's basically hitting career averages at this point.

After he retires, we get 7-8 years of prime Luka....

    God bless the Lakers

Look how low his average of personal fouls per game has been in his career and even lower this year. As well as some other areas him performing better than his career averages. As always …. “at forty”.

One of the biggest issues the last few years was LeBron gassing by the 4th. We’d be neck and neck with Denver and then he’d run out of steam and they’d pull away. Unfortunately AD can’t create offence like Lebron or Luka.

Looks likely this won’t be a problem if Lebron can coast for a half in the playoffs. This is really positive for us.

lost amidst all the dunking on nico harrison was that i feel like his point about time frames was accurate. you don't make ten-year plans in the nba. it makes no sense. 3 years is about as far out as you can form reasonable expectations. in five years, cbas can change dramatically as well as many other variables that you don't control.

the luka acquisition looks like it will both a) extend lebron's ability to play and b) put us in a situation where we're not in full star-hunt mode for at least 3-4 years. this is all you can ask for, imo.

maybe luka breaks down at age 32 like some stars; maybe he plays well until late 30s like others. but for the window during which planning is reasonable, we have one of the league's best players.

and yes, when lebron does retire, we'll miss him a lot. but at least now we won't be where we were when kobe retired.

It really is unreal JJ and acquiring Luka has Lebron playing like he's younger on defense and in the 4th.

I thought the defense was only going to be there till AD returned pre trade but with Luka he maybe able to get away being the corner man for half a game resting on offense now
