He plays a little goofy, but I think he’s a solid backup center.

Huge opportunity for Jaxson. Luka is going to get him 2-3 extra buckets on lobs.

I think so too. He has been part of this crew that has really showed some grit. I think they are like 5-1 or 6-1 without AD now.

if luka can turn hayes into a positive on offense, he's suddenly valuable. that's asking a lot, though.

i agree that he's a solid backup center, especially given how we should play now.

He’s finally looking like a NBA player, instead of a G League castoff.
Good on him for picking it up.

I really like Hayes. I think he is better than we as fans see him mainly because he is a bit "wild" on the court. I also think his image suffers, in the fans eyes at least, from he seems goofy/playful where most fans think our center needs to be gritty and grimy.

IMO, he needs to slow down a bit and think plays out a little more. Patience on his picks and rolls. Better effort on the offensive/defensive boards in boxing out. That is hard for our centers for a couple of reasons the first being we shoot a lot of out of flow 3's where we have no one in the paint for rebounds and second there are too many centers that are out on the perimeter instead of in the paint. That means, for me anyway, Hayes needs to make a point to "go get" the rebounds. That will up his game play and give him more opportunities for put back offense.

He has the potential to be a solid C for us but he has to work on the mental aspect of the game while keeping that hustle, fire and joy he plays with each game.

Run the court, be a lob threat and box out for rebound. A block or 2 a game is a plus and try to cut down on the dumb fouls. I do think he gets hosed by the refs some. Luka can make anyone look good. If you are going to be our center moving forward, make us proud.

I think he gets hosed because he defends haphazardly and wildly. He def needs to be more thoughtful on his blocks. Easy to say I know.

His worst trait is his lack of basketball IQ. He’s like my new puppy who runs 1,000 mph around the house and moshes into our old goat dog.
Maybe we can get Caesar Milan for a week or two?

He's been playing really well of late. Not sure if he can it up but I like what I see. He's still a second stringer at best though.

With that kind of speed, he should be good on fast breaks.
