Got a 3% chance currently the Hawks pick is #1. With Johnson done for the year, that will likely increase a little (unless they go get BI). Extremely unlikely... but not impossible.
Just “Liked” it because always good to hear from you in the “Basketball” forums again …. instead of Raiders. Come back at at least give us your 2 cents on Luka being a Laker.
The 'ole do you know who my dad is card didn't work this time. Wonder how many times it has. He's had an interesting adulthood.
In Utah tonight: GSW short-handed 'cuz they dealt Dennis, Wiggins, and Anderson. But Steph was hittin' 3s. With 3:30 left in the game, Buddy Hield hits a 3 to put GSW up 10, 120-110. Then the Jazz go on a 21-8 run to end the game. The Mormons were ecstatic! The Jazz won the game, 131-128. But I'm sure Jimmy will turn things around. <cue: evil laughter>
Last year I did some geeked-out posts about 50 point games approaching the ASG: how they went dramatically up. And I thought about that today: so far: not a lot of 50 point games, so my "hypothesis" - that, as the ASG approaches, certain guys seem to think a huge scoring outburst adds a shimmer to their name approaching the ASG - is wrong. It was only a coincidence. But then later: Ant drops 49 in a win over the Bulls. SGA drops 50 as they went into PHO and waxed that team by 31. Enjoy playing together, KD/Book/Beal! SGA has 3 50 point games this season, all of them in the past 2 weeks. 52 vs. GSW on the 29th; 54 vs. Utah on the 22nd.
Nurkic says he has "no relationship" with Budenholzer; Suns have been tryna trade Nurk for at least 2 weeks: only a few hours left. I take spiteful glee at PHO's bad fortunes. I admit it. I'm a lifelong Lakers fan. This is good: the fans don't care any more. They show up to see KD and Book score, however much they lose. PHO's time with KD/Beal/Book has worked about as well as Brooklyn's KD/Kyrie/Beardie era, eh? Goshwhattashame.
I don’t particular like Kyrie Irving, but I think it’s super weird that Boston fans still boo him every time he touches the ball. He hasn’t played for them for six years. Get over it lol.
one recent positive trend (that could end up hurting us later but hasn't yet): stars not getting traded where they demand. i guess fox got his wish in SA, but he had some leverage, imo. but lillard getting shut out of miami and butler out of phx is better for the league. i'm actually ok with trade demands, but when you have no real leverage AND limit options to a single team...that can't happen.
HOU has been a good road team this season until lately: they've lost their last 4 road games, including tonight in MIN. HOU was up 6 going into the 4th but MIN outscored them 35-16 to win by 13. Ant had 41 to go with 49 less than 24 hours earlier, so he's put up 90 in a 24 hour period, including 16 in the 4th to just take over and get the win against a very good HOU team. Very late, Ant put Dillon Brooks on skates for a step-back 3 and then he taunted Brooks. But yea: DAL waxed the Bags in BOS. If you just look at the score 127-120 it looks close. It was not. DAL was up 67-56 at half, then outscored BOS 37-27 in the 3rd. Most of the 4th was garbage. And so are the Bags fans.
yeah, i tuned in for the end of the boston game, and their scrubs went on a crazy run where they couldn't miss for like, 7 minutes, but it didn't matter because they were too far behind. kidd was being kinda dumb defensively to allow some of that, though. if peyton pritchard wants to try to cook one on one, let him. don't send help, lol. they got a ton of open shots because they were reacting to plays they shouldn't have and avoiding switches that wouldn't have been punished. that's not jayson tatum out there, kidd.
Why is he always so mad? Also, pretty sure he said he might have punched the ref here. I don’t get that mentality on the court, it’s a professional environment, and it’s loud, the ref may have needed to be that close to explain something. The day this dude retires will be a great day
