I don't know if it is just me, but what a dumb statement. Who wouldn't want that? Especially in a contract year/right after you had been traded because you supposedly suck.

I don't know what exactly happened to hibbert last year, but if we get the other version, that's pretty huge. figuratively, too.

If we could convert one or both into a second rounder and recoup the second rounder we gave up for Hibbert I'd be pretty excited.

From the Pacers fans I've discussed this with, they were pretty happy with him last season. I mean he averaged more boards and made jumps in FG% and FT% shooting. Another issue was not having the perimeter defense he had with Paul George and the Pacers version of Lance Stephenson which makes everything as a help defender a little bit easier.

    Welcome Roy Hibbert!

Also, I hope we have enough basketball to go around for Kobe, Sweet Lou, AND Swaggy.

You figure Kelly would be the more attractive one of the two as far as being a trade bait. He is a decent player...works hard enough and has a skill set that some team can use. Sacre is... Let's have Doc answer that one.

No, he's not. He's wearing Jim Pollard's number.

I saw some real nice hooks in his highlights somewhere that were not "jump hooks". They were off one leg with nice touch. They were also not "Sky Hooks" like Kareem's signature shot and unlikely ever to be but that's OK. Kareem went off that one leg, left or right, straight up 30 or so inches and extended his shooting arm to the max with the final wrist flip from his big hand at the end of the motion. But Roy's old school hooks were not bad at all.

Well sure, another 2nd rounder for Ryan and Jesse and Mitch to steal that is really 1st round talent.

My understanding from visiting some Pacers forum is that everyone loves Hibbert, but the fans know that he doesn't fit their fast-paced system moving forward. They wish him farewell.

He's a hard-working defensive big man. He doesn't suck. He's every bit as good when he was an allstar.

See this is where we are STYLING. Lots of times big Roy is going to dominate "small ball" teams down low both on defense and offense. But some parts of games against the very best small ball teams, when it ain't working ..... no sweat...... insert "small bully ball" lineup with Boom Boom at center to keep pace and still we're pushing guys around, with Randle or Bass and maybe Nance, plus whichever potent guards Byron wants in there.

Hibbert will be useful against teams with an inside game like San Antonio or Houston or Memphis... Black will get most of his minutes against fast tempo offenses. Or we can just slow it down then too, give Hibbert the rock and let him go to work. Let him know we can use his points...build his confidence and keep him engaged.
