I think JJ just kind of going along with it. I don't think he really wants a big.

AD has said disparaging remarks regarding analytics. That goes against JJ.

What a cheap shot (above) but not much unlike Fish leveling Scola. Wonder what preceded it between them?

What do you guys and gals think about this?

I like it the way it is and it separates the NBA from all other leagues

    https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id...oats-idea-shortening-games-10-minute-quarters

NBA commissioner Adam Silver said Wednesday that he likes the idea of shortening games to 40 minutes by going from 12-minute quarters to 10.

"As we get more involved in global basketball, the NBA is the only league that plays 48 minutes. And I would be -- I am -- a fan of four 10-minute quarters," Silver said during an afternoon appearance on "The Dan Patrick Show." "I'm not sure that many others are. Putting aside what it means for records and things like that, yeah, I think that a two-hour format for a game is more consistent with modern television habits."

NBA games this season have run 2 hours, 16 minutes on average, nearly identical to the past 15 seasons (2:15, according to data from ESPN Research).

"I think of a television program being two hours, Olympic basketball

btw, slightly annoying tidbit from yesterday's article that i forgot to discuss: players on the team complaining about a lack of playmaking after the dlo trade. duh. everybody wanted dlo out of here (probably including this source, who is lebron or AD), but nobody wanted to think about him being one of three total guys on the roster who can make plays with the ball in his hands.

so we've got players on the roster complaining about two roster holes (center, playmaker) after we traded one of those skillsets for neither.

in a vacuum, DFS is more valuable than dlo, but to us...i'm not sure. not unless we make some other moves. i never like making moves that necessitate other moves...

I think it was necessary to get this fully realized version of AR. Also while we knew it'd be a hole, you kind of need to see it to fully grasp the size of the issue. Gabe's always been a more natural secondary ball handler, but I think his playmaking has regressed since Miami too, and he's all we got outside of that starting group.

I think we can address this in buyout market. We just need the roster spot. It's a much lesser need than another big. If healthy, Fultz is fine. Or if CP finds his way to the marketplace.

I don't understand the point of this. People aren't tuning out of games because they're 15 minutes too long. This would also lead to starters playing a larger percentage of the game and benches becoming less important, which I don't really like.

shortening the quarters won't do anything to stop teams from load managing players and blatantly tanking, which are the real issues

The Phoenix Suns are looking to make more moves with the NBA trade deadline less than a week away Feb. 6.

Sources have informed The Arizona Republic the Suns have been talking to teams throughout the league about trading 7-footer Jusuf Nurkic, with the Atlanta Hawks being one of those teams
Why Atlanta already trying to get bigs ,but Rob is still didn't wake up or maybe it secret trade from Pelinka that nobody is expecting.
P.S.Robinson from knicks is also for trade ,but he's injured and didn't play this season yet

Suns and Dubs will pull a trade out of nowhere, just watch. Both teams will still not make it out of the west though :D

Yeah, the biggest problem is that no one involved thinks the regular season matters. Most of the teams treat the regular season like it doesn't matter, so fans tune out accordingly. It's stupid because the regular season absolutely does matter; just about every champion is either (1) a high seed that attacked the regular season to build good habits or (2) a team that already did (1) and won a ring.

GSW only interested in LaVine, Valancunas or Vucevic .
Nurkic would be perfect for Lakers, but Rob believe it is Koloko that missing piece

    Latest on Turner from Stein

Another case of cold water being dumped on our deadline pursuits. Would Vuc qualify for them? A 3 team with Chi Town is the only possible path that could interest them based on those parameters.
