He's looking good and I'm thrilled honestly. Definitely helps us if he can contribute consistently.

Yep, I think there are better assets to move to get a center. Gabe has become more valuable now.

The whole point of Gabe when we signed him was that he was DLo insurance. Certainly not as dynamic offensively, but he was a steady hand that could make open shots and defend physically if/when we ran into a matchup where DLo struggled. Well now DLo isn't here at all and Milton has been bad, so we really need Gabe right now. Glad to see him have a strong game.

Lol..Shake is getting about 8 mins a game, that's not even enough time to warm up properly.

He's frustrating as that his shot just seems very streaky game to game.

Good enough to be a playoff caliber backup PG but not sure I trust him as the 5th guy in a closing rotation. DFS looks like he going to lock up that 4th spot but it would be nice to have a 5th

Good physical defender, finally complementary to the other guys in court

When are you going to apologize and tell me I WAS right in thinking he could be an equally effective but stronger Schroder?

…. you had me pressured into an apology when he was sucking.

He shot 33.7 % from 3 in three regular seasons in Miami .

Lakers took a gamble on a hot playoffs run but this is who he is and was even when more involved in the offense

i think the hot playoffs run was just a proof-of-concept thing that at least shows he's not likely to just wilt under playoff pressure like dlo did. really think the gabe signing was a direct and necessary counter-measure to keeping dlo around.

he's properly slotted in his role now, imo, and i don't expect him in closing lineups.

when we close games, lebron and reaves are the ballhandlers and AD is the center. DFS is will be one guy, as pioneer said. i don't know who the 5th is, but it's not gabe.

right now, it's probably rui, right? vando's a shaky offensive option in do-or-die situations.

edit: also, watching schroder last night got me thinking that i'm not sure i'd trade gabe for him at this point.

I think soreness is a rest DNP. It's against Charlotte and we're trying to manage him. With Vando back, we have a bit of room to give a rest here and there to these injury prone guys

I remember that. Hope this isn't the return of a bone bruise situation.
