Anybody else liking how this guy plays? Hustle guy, 2 blocks and 5 boards in 11 mins. I don’t know what his NBA future is, but I do hope he sticks around on the 2-way and we see if he can turn into a useful bench player.
loved him in summer league, and he's doing similar things here. i just worry he's too small to play center and not quite athletic enough to play forward. but he has a great motor and makes a lot of high hoop iq plays on both ends. as i said in the other thread, like him better than castleton.
i thought we might see him with AD in foul trouble and koloko looking like a guy who hadn't played in two years.
Yeah, I think he might get some run, too. Lakers Film Room mentioned him, and how he might fill a role against certain teams. He's a switchy type of center that gives energy where you could get away with some minutes at the 5. Might be worth a look
So he says .... Same size and weight as C. Wood. Might be better than him at it though, if truly a "small ball" purposed lineup.
he's not afraid to bang, and as you said, he basically weighs the same as our other two backup centers. rui and bron are technically bulkier than anyone else, but neither of them shows much of a taste for playing in the paint. traore seems interested in it.
Dude flies up the floor like like his 2nd sport was Track&Field with the 100M his specialty. That transition to offense and sprint to the left corner when he first got in the game was like WHOA!!
He's got a little Turiaf energy to him. Nowhere near that level because RT was operating at a hustle level that impressed Kobe and earned his respect.
22 boards. bring him up! plus, you had me at "runs the floor", something our two stars think is beneath them.
Bring him up. He’s got to have more passion for the game than most of our players who look like they are sleep walking.
