No we would have to renounce Lin to bring in Roy. Lin's cap hold is 12.5 million, bringing Roy in takes us over the salary limit, so we couldn't do that. Only way it works is if we sign Lin first (I don't know why we would) and then bring Hibbert in after that deal is set.

Since they have the numbers, can't the trade become official whenever?

On another note, has anyone seen any tweets or reported comments from Roy about coming to the Lakers, like he's looking forward to it or happy about it?

Well it wouldn't be good practice when it isn't official yet.

    Let's wait until 9PM.

Came onto LB just now after coming home from work and making dinner and this is the first thread I open up.

Now I'm nervous and anxious! Please Bird do the right thing and dont trade Hibbert to Mavs if DJ signing falls through.

I have the faith that everything will be fine, but its thoroughly being tested at the moment.

Actually I would like to know the circumstance surrounding the making of this gif. It looks like real footage, but Mr. Rogers????

EDIT: That's bypassing the swear filter.

It's in singing the song, "Where is tall man? Where is tall man?" to introduce your fingers.

Thanks for the info. A flipping the bird gif (and funny one at that) is bypassing the swear filter but f*** you isn't? OK, whatever, sorry, did not think it would be.

Well. The Clips have thrown a possible wrench in things haven't they. Jordan is a weak minded guys as well. I really really don't want him here even if he paid us. Weak mentality overcomes any amount of talent.

So.... We have a basic deal in place to get Hibbert but pieces are being worked out. Indy has no choice but to deal on our terms... oops. Now there is another team that has room and is willing to deal. Meanwhile we've signed other pieces based on that potential move.

Cuban will move on and they may just rescind their offer to this idiot. I wouldn't pay that amount for a guy who's that easily swayed.

It would seem that this idiotic period of time between being able to contract FA and sign them is going to bite us in the butt.

The gap in time serves only one purpose IMHO..... to keep the fans interested as long as possible to keep NBA associated revenue coming in. Draft.... FA hype for 2 weeks.... summer league hype for 3 more.... training camp hype. They don't want an offseason.

Didn't Cuban say the mavs would basically go into rebuilding if Jordan signed elsewhere? That's the only thing that's makes me thinking they won't try and acquire hibbert

But if they do then seriously, eff the clippers and especially that loser Jordan. Such a classless organization from top to bottom. I just hope the pacers don't lower themselves to clipper status as well
