At least Denver isn't paying Brick $44 million.

DEN fans give Brick a huge ovation when he subbed in. First touch: throws it away trying to pass to Joker. Then, air ball (see above clip). Then: OKC misses a shot and there are 3 Nugs there for the board and Brick touches it and it goes out of bounds for OKC. All that in his first 90 secs as a Nug at home.

Can't see how Chet somehow managed to not gain a pound of muscle in the off season. If anything, he looks like he lost weight. Jokic throws a hip and Chet skids 5 feet along the floor.

That said, gotta admit it, OKC looks scary good.

What happened? I thought Mikey was going to let Russ be Russ and it was all his prior teams who were at fault.

As far as regular season build, I think they're best in the West by a mile. I think they'll have some postseason issues but Hartenstein and AC will Bandaid a lot of that.

Aaron Wiggins looked like a seasoned vet already at 25. Man. OKC is young and very deep...with a ton of high picks in the bag to boot.

It's only one game, but I'm tempted to say DEN has moved down to maybe 5th in the West. (Then again, they have that Serb...)

PAHAHAHAHAHAH I was reading that play-by-play and could literally see it frame by frame, such a classic Russ.

This is hilarious. I understand being a fan, but I’ll also never understand not seeing objective reality, a 3 year 2 teams sample size of reality

Go back to 2020 and the bubble where he stunk up the joint in every way that a player can be bad at basketball. He has been a borderline g league player for half a decade now.

and lebron still thought that he could be the guy to carry the team when he sat. the same guy they were daring to shoot from the FT line in the playoffs

    i'll never get over it

me neither. maybe AD's injuries would have killed that first year, anyway, but man...that was just a really awful 18 months or so.

the 20-21 season should've been further proof that there was no need to blow up the title core for westbrick. lakers with healthy lebron and AD could've very well made the finals again that season

BRICK UPDATE: he's amped to face his former teammates the Clippers as the Nuggets try to get their first win of the season.

Brick: 0 for 8 from the field, 3 3s attempted: all CLANK.

19 mins: 2/1/2. With 4 fouls. He'll start filling up the stat sheet at any time now. Triple-doubles, etc...in his mind.

    Clippers 109
    Nuggets 104

DEN 0-2 in the Brick Era. I imagine at some point even the mind-mannered Joker will scream, "Get this a** off our team! He's killing us!"

2/18 FG first 2 games. What a joke.

I feel bad for him because he looks like a good guy and it's never a lack of effort (that for me is the bare minimum to ask for), just completely delusional about who he is as a player and unable to adjust

I don’t. He may be a good guy off the court but in addition to being dillusional about his capabilities he had a bad attitude to go with it to anyone questioning his play.
