Key injuries to LeBron and AD over the era, the FO agreeing to their desire to bring in WB (with their leverage having delivered a ring a year and a half earlier) … and the Buss family not having multi billions in the bank to throw at it “aside” too?

boy they are trying super hard to prop Bron up. Is this really needed? Comes off as desperate and paid for by Lebron Inc in his desire to be recognized as the GOAT, but he can never scrub the internet of his flopping videos.

Yeah, when someone, or someone’s minions have to constantly try to prove to us that they are the GOAT, they aren’t.
The GOAT debate is just tired and needs to go away.

Other greats let others do the arguing for them. It's just not a good look to try to convince people you're that guy. If you have to do that, you just aren't. Greatest at prolonged excellence? Absolutely. Great at so many things, but GOAT? It has a different meaning for everyone, and pretty much no matter what he does at this point, he's just not that guy for a huge amount of fans.

where Lebron will beat everyone, even Kareem, is in his longevity with continued excellence. Kareem was nowhere near as good as Lebron is at an equal stage of his career.

It’s not a frivolous argument at all. It’s HUGE and not something that gets overridden just because many people had/have a problem with his personality, which is considerably more frivolous in comparison IMO.

When you have nothing else to talk about or you aren't playing for anything of substance, this is the stupid s*** left. Conjecture.

As I said, like him or not … there’s no conjecture about 20 years of excellence. Doing it longer than anyone in the history of the league at that level. Whether he’s your or anyone else’s personal GOAT is the stupid part if someone wants to not put him in the conversation.

I don't think LeBron is the best player ever, or even in my top 3, but there is no doubt he is the GOAT of sustained excellence and the best 39 year old to ever play the game.

I could not care less about the GOAT debate. Everyone has an opinion, it's like listening to C Bags fans tell me that Bird was better than Magic, even though Bird, himself, tells us otherwise. And I don't even care who is the best of those two. It will ALWAYS be a matter of opinion. I would rather be happy when I drink my beer. The ONLY thing that matters is winning. I have my arguments, you have your arguments, we all got our arguments. Since I have seen an awful lot of the NBA over 6 decades, I have come to the conclusion that there are great players who transcend their generation and there are a lot of those. Wilt, Kareem, Magic, Oscar, Jordan, Kobe, Lebron, Havlicek, Hakeem, Jokic, Wade, Duncan, Shaq, Irving, West, Dirk, KG, Russell, Durant, Curry and Bird are all absolutely great players who would be great in any era. Which one is best only matters to a few fanboys who simply want their player to be best.

LOL .... as would ANY person / athlete at the top of their profession chart their own path. Not to mention he'll be almost 44. Plus Mayor Bass is going to ban autos to any venues  :D .... you expect him to take mass transit?

He didn’t say a single word about retiring, knowing LeBron and his work ethics he doesn’t think about retiring, he thinks about keep playing . The way he described it ( I am getting the f out of the city ) has nothing to do with retiring. Winning in Paris was basically his goal and the cherry on top of his Olympic career . Signature narcissist talk .
