I get it, I get everything you are saying, I understand it’s a beautiful bond between LeBron & AD to win a gold together added to their ring .

I never said a word about AD, everything I said was about LeBron . It was an easy gold and LeBron took it, how many gold medal he has now ?3 ? That’s great . Good for you LeBron ! As a Lakers fan it means nothing to me . I’ve seen kobe & Magic win Olympic golds and I didn’t care . It’s like ok whatever party is over let’s get back to work !

plaschke's. he's basically just a troll who's employed by a newspaper at this point.

bill's "point" wasn't that lebron was wrong to play in the olympics--that can't be what you took from that. the whole piece was to rip lakers management for only making two conference finals appearances in 5 years (with only one ring) during the lebron years, using the olympics as the crown jewel of evidence that we should have no fewer than 5, and only idiots could run such a sure thing into the ground.

Man, Shaq really likes the sound of his own voice. Anyway, this was pretty funny to me, and kind of wild when put into context like this, like yeah, what would he call him, unprecedented

That’s what LeBron said … No? The two of them have already been over it of course.

lol, sabonis? wonder how he got in there. ant? sure, next mj stuff, and he's quite quotable/ridiculous. tatum? coming off title, plays for media favorite boston, perennial all nba guy. ok, i get it. jimmy butler? yeah, he's a weird dude, and another guy in a major market/point of media interest. lebron? of course. but then sabonis? in sacramento?

was it really that they needed a white guy? is sabonis an interesting character off the court in ways i don't know?

LeBron James’ 'Chosen One' Jersey: A Crown Jewel Heads to Hong Kong

LeBron James' iconic high school jersey heads to 'Legends in Motion' auction in Hong Kong. A tangible link to his extraordinary journey, is expected to fetch millions.
Its reappearance on the auction block, with an estimated value of $1-$2 million, is a stout demonstration and tip of the proverbial cap to LeBron's enduring legacy and the insatiable appetite of collectors for artifacts that embody greatness.

Accompanying the jersey is a collection of limited-edition photo prints capturing LeBron in his element during that fateful Sports Illustrated session. These images, signed by renowned photographer Michael LeBrecht, offer a glimpse into the making of an icon. Each print is a numbered piece of history, freezing in time the youthful energy and quiet confidence of a future legend.

Has Lebron's impact on the Lakers' Winning been overblown? Or have we just done a poor job giving him talent around him and good coach?

basically a 54% winning percentage overall, when we know it takes 70% to get it done. Besides the championship bubble year, the best we've done is 7th?

    • 6 seasons
    • 2 seasons no playoffs
    • 2 seasons first round exit

The fact that Lebron dragged this ragtag bunch of losers on an inept franchise to one chip is HOF worthy. The king needs more help! This man deserves to have two jerseys retired with us. One for his prior career, and one while with the Lakers. #legend

How dare you bring up facts to diminish the overwhelmingly success story he’s been as a Laker!
All joking aside, I’ve made peace with the fact that for the Laker FO, this LeBron era has been more about making money than winning.

This is lame: what team has actually done better then the Lakers over the last 6 years.
There has been no repeat winners
GS has a title and one finals appearance so slightly better then one title and one WCF finals appearance
Denver has a title and 2 WCF finals appearance
    Toronto has collapsed
    Bucks look bad.

Only Boston probably has a better run and they only have one title.

I think the new CBA and salary cap just makes things harder for everyone and has made it harder for the Lakers to recover from the WB deal. Bottom line is the AD groin injury not Lebron is what cost the Lakers a dynasty. He doesn't get hurt post-Bubble year, Lakers were clearly the best team in the league IMO and the WB deal never happens

Yeah..I don't like the way Lebron "leads",(terrible leader IMO) but the hating on him incessantly, isn't deserved either.

Key injuries to LeBron and AD over the era, the FO agreeing to their desire to bring in WB (with their leverage having delivered a ring a year and a half earlier) … and the Buss family not having multi billions in the bank to throw at it “aside” too?
