I knew it was the beginning of the end when Ham went to his NBA 2K24 all wing starting lineup of:

    Bron
    Prince
    Reddish
    Vando
    AD

    NO to Bud.
I fear it’s going to be another rookie, but at the same time, Im not enamored with any of the “experienced guys.”
    Just bring Vogel back.

I wouldnt mind Vogel back but he need serious offensive help. Lakers willing to pay Stotts as a high paid assistant?

Yeah, the way Vogel got done, I doubt he would come back.
But yeah, he would need some help with the offense.

How about hiring Stotts in the first place instead of an unproven rookie coach who has failed consistently to get a head coaching job until the Lakers stupidly hired him just for P.R. points

But Lue’s contract isn’t up yet … right? I keep seeing his name come up but like most everyone says …. No Way Ballmer is going to fire him even if they lose in the first round just because of Lakers snapping him up.

Again, as a PSA for all the JJ lovers over here.

The man has a vote in the defensive awards (and probably other, I have no idea). He discussed 20 players in total as part of DPOY, 1st All-D, 2nd All-D.

He mentioned as candidates and his eventual vote around 20 players. Not one of them was AD.

This tells me that he is a moron, when it comes to defense and watches stats (as the self-proclaimed analytics guy), but can't even do THAT properly, as AD was at the top of every one of the D stats.

So... he picks and chooses when to use the numbers, which is the worst kind of "analytics" guy -- if the numbers support my view, they are awesome, if they do not, they are stupid and my experience is more valuable.

    Glorified Jimmer Fredette. Piss off.

    Screw JJ.

Another situation I got into it with “On-An-Island”. While DLO and AR were both on the bench. My point was it was a complete waste of time as it would never be a starting lineup in the playoffs. Most agreed. So why do it. Figured it was impossible to last more than a few games and didn’t. Just PISSED everyone off.

It really got ludicrous watching Cam at the top of the key tasked with playing DLO’s or AR’s role running the offense a few times.

I think Stotts is my favorite so far.

That's wrong. He did mentioned AD, it was like his 6th name. I follow his podcasts
He undervalued him imo, but he mentioned him.

because Ham supposedly impressed the FO in the interviews.

our FO hasn't gotten the message that mostly everyone knows in business these days, that interview performance is a very poor indicator of future job performance.

press is going full court on us being unfair for firing ham. two things can be true, media: we can have a star who doesn't take responsibility AND a bad coach. we can't fire and replace lebron with someone better. we can very easily fire and replace ham with someone better. why is this hard to grapple with?

anyway, of the realistic names so far, i still think kenny atkinson deserves another shot as a head coach. i thought he was unfairly dismissed in bkn.

but once again (and this will seem contrary to my opening statement), i don't think we can get a great coach because the best candidates should run from our job.

He should have been gone when Russ left, AKA the Russ whisperer.

We wasted two good years with this foo.

Hell no to JJ, if he want experience, go somewhere else.

Stotts or Vogel is fine. Give them two years to prove themselves.

6th in honorable mentions? After leaving him off the 2 top teams of 5 …. so like 16fh in his opinion? It seriously “should” be a non starter for AD I would think just for the fact alone to AD that this guy who now would want to talk him up and coach him and expect him to run through walls actually truthfully thought that little, stupidly, of his actual worth on D that AD left it all on the floor for this season. I had some intrigue before Zen reminded and pointed that out.

I don’t think we will get a great coach again until the LeBron era is over.
Because of “win now” expectations, and LeBron’s massive gravitational pull, it’s a lame duck situation.
    Just make LeBron the player-coach.

Yeah but can’t. NBA outlawed it. Would be used to skirt players salary cap issues. Just in case serious …. probably not.
