Usually I would love to dunk on Ham but I think for the most part, he made the right calls on the rotation.

I don't like him benching Dinwiddie, but I think because Gabe and DLO had it going, he gave those guys more of the minutes tonight.

However, I do want to see more of Dinwiddie against the Nuggets because he' can match up with multiple guys (Murray, Reggie, and KCP).

Yes, Ham pockets should have called a few TO's, and yes, he probably should not have taken out Bron at the end of the 3rd.

But guys -it's also VERY VERY difficult to beat a team on the road TWICE in a row, whether it's regular season, play-in, or playoffs. It just doesnt' happen often.

With AD being hampered with the back injury, this was always going to be a tough game.

I agree that the matchup hunting was not smart, and Ham didn't play call anything. But end of the day, I thought he played the right guys and he DID close with our starters from like the 7 minute mark of the 4th (might have even been earlier than that). He mixed in Gabe for defensive purposes late in the 4th which I thought was fine given how well Gabe had played.

With that said, I'm very worried about Ham againstz Denver. If he overthinks it, we will get outplayed and swept. If he just sticks to what we've been doign for 2+ months now and plays the right guys and does NOT play the 3-guard lineup at ALL? We have a shot.

Well ..... Ham sure as **** brain farted game 1, which IF we had won, might have been a different series, with the 3 guard lineup against their OBVIOUS size and athleticism. Because it worked against a totally different GS team. Go ahead give it your "Meh" and return to your regular DLO choked programming.

Have we played a 3 guard lineup last game? I can't remember it.
Ham was quite good last year's playoffs, hopefully he can repeat that good stretch

Yeah. I'm sure he has heard the rumblings. He is coaching for his job so we will see what happens. He can turn down the heat under him a bit by coaching a good series.

If the Lakers get swept or done in 5 (don't care if games are close in 4th quarter), I think he's going to be under tremendous heat. I think he'll come back because the Lakers are cheap, but his leash will be a lot shorter this next season, IMO.

Nope. LeBron and AD will be consulted, if ANY doubt whatsoever that he needs to be gone after that 1st round exit due to where we wound up due to HIM. And maybe even "HIM" too. ;) The consensus will be:

We don't need Ham to win this series for us, just not to lose it. We have the talent to win and despite how scattered our defense has looked at times we have played good games. We're tied to LeBron; he is healthy and should have an epic series. LeBron will also do most of the in-game coaching. Murray isn't likely to shoot like he did against us last year. The guy just cooked us and DLO isn't as likely to shoot as bad. DLO is a pro, he was embarrassed, raked through the coals and laughed at for his play. An embarrassed athlete can be dangerous the next time around even in high school. No matter what might be said beforehand I believe DLO is grinding his teeth in anticipation of this series. As long as Ham doesn't outsmart himself (which wouldn't be hard) with odd ball line ups and rotations we should be good.

I think there's a good chance he is back because we keep hearing Jeannie likes him.

But if we completely crash and burn, I could see our stars not so gently nudging him out the door as @LTLakerFan suggests

I'm already preoparing myself for the choke job that Darvin will do putting out the stupidest lineups...including the stupid 3-guard lineup

He’s not back unless we make the WCF again.
LeBron has already tuned Ham out.
That’s pretty much all the proof I need.

    AWFUL!

as soon as our 8 point lead went away and the Nuggets cranked it up, Ham brought us nothing but the most unorganized offense in the entire playoffs

Hayes had a decent shift with 3 rebounds in 4 minutes and was a +2. I’d play him in the non-Jokic minutes.

Why? Jokic was only 8/9 when Rui was guarding him.
