It is crazy to think anyone will be able to do what he has done. Lebron was hardly injured in his career, played at the top of the NBA stat charts for 21 seasons all while going to the finals for like forever it seemed. People in the moment can look at those who play now and think "yea its possible" but we know the game is a vicious one. How many "next Mj's" were there before Kobe came and made it so? Yea guys can score at a much higher clip because they are allowed to run and gun and defense isn't the same as the olden days. But 40k points requires a long career being at the top of the game. KAPs record didn't stand all those years just because.... it stood cause it is hella hard.

I'd hope he didn't juice but even if he did the fact he could do all that would still be impressive as hell.

Kudos to Lebron for adding to his game but he's not a better player then he was with Miami or Cleveland.

His legacy vs MJ comes down to a few things
    1) MJ's prime coincided right when the league expanded diluting talent while the Euros were just coming in. Krause for all the flack he gets was an extremely good GM (drafting Scotte, getting Kukoc). I'm sorry the Bulls only faced one truly great team in the Finals and that was the Suns who everyone forgets lost Ceballos for that series after he lit it up during their western conference run. you look back at those teams he faced for example Jazz or Portland teams: those were good team but not great. Who was the Jazz 3rd best player Hornacek? Drexler was good but he wasn't Kobe or Wade

    2) Lebron first Cleveland stint was just wasted. He had Boozer for one year and that was it. his best team there the second best player was Mo Williams?
Then in Cleveland second stint which should have set up the run for multiple titles: Durant joined Curry and that was that. 2 top 20 players all time with multiple all star players around them. Sad part was Cleveland was a very good "typical" title team just not the juggernaut that GS created. MJ never played any team remotely as good as the Warrior and he did play teams that were close he lost (boston/bad boy pistons)

    3) He lost the Dallas series due to piss poor performance

P.S. ….. don’t stop the damn game tonight for the 40K basket, please! Secure the ball for him afterwards so he doesn’t go all crybaby about it like Giannis.

Yeah, I understand why they do it, but I don’t like it either.

The all time greatest scorer and a new all time threshold in the annals of NBA lore with 40,000 points, and you guys can't give him 5 minutes to lavish with him with well deserved praise? A guy on your own team?

Lebron went to 9 Finals in 10 seasons, on three different teams. That's a hell of a run, I don't think we'll ever see that happen again. Looking back, I am still very impressed, that he carried Cleveland and a bunch of scrubs, to the Finals at age 22.

When Raymone went to his 1st Finals, D'Angelo, Austin, Rui,Cam and Jarred, were all 10 years old and under. AD was 13. That s*** is crazy.

2011 was the only true "choke" of lebron's career. 07 cavs were literally just lebron and a bunch of role players, 2014 spurs were simply a better team than miami, 2015 cavs could've easily won it all if it weren't for kyrie and love getting hurt, and 17-18 were the KD years

on a side note, 2018 lebron might've been the best version of him i ever watched. not as athletic as his earlier years, but still an absolute force offensively and once again carried a meh cavs team to the finals

MJ might still be the NBA GOAT, but there's no question lebron is the greatest basketball player of all time

If Cap could have went pro out of High School, Lebron would still be chasing him. With the way he's still playing 21 years in. He would still catch him though.

Does he ever lose the #1 spot? He could easily end up at 43k before all is said and done.

He looked gassed to me this game. Didn't have the explosion and energy of the last two games. Wiz game going to OT was bad for this one

Hard to see it happening. Guess we will see how well Wemby’s body holds up. Only person with a shot at it IMO

Gordon is probably his hardest matchup in the league. He's athletic and he's strong so he's not easy to bully.

Definitely but he also didn't explode to get back on breaks and the like. The margin against Denver is so small

    don't think so

the only active player who i think could have a chance would be luka, but he'd need to get into better shape and start taking better care of his body
