Watch him become Mr. Two Weeks before you know it. And then milk us for 60 mil per year. That would be pretty awesome.

it has to happen at some point. but he's going to be collecting 60 million when it does, and it will almost certainly be from us.

if we make a big trade this summer, i'll be very interested in how we handle the picks. because if lebron and AD are making 120 million combined out of the 140 million dollar cap for a couple years...and they're older...we'll be drafting high.

I'll be surprised if we don't give him what he wants. He's still one of the 10 best players in the league and $60 million APY is just market for that caliber of player now. Obviously, none of the other players at that level are 40 years old.

We're in a tough spot. Are we really willing to play hardball with him and risk him walking into Philly's cap space or forcing a trade with the Knicks or something like that? If AD was 26, sure tell LeBron we're not committing to him like that because we have more runway to pair him with the next superstar. But AD is 30 and probably won't be on the tail-end of his prime by the time we get Luka or Tatum or whomever to take the mantle as the next #1 guy.

Man we are going to suuuuck when he’s making $60 mil per at 41, if we wants to win he’d be taking a 3rd of thar, but sure whatever, just don’t want to hear him speak on the roster or tweet hourglasses when that’s the case.

In other news, there’s this. Bronny currently looks like a 4 year college player who may not ever be an NBA player, really hope we don’t waste a draft pick on him at any point. He’s currently a SG in a PG’s body and he can’t really dribble, so that’s an issue

Isn’t the cap going way up with the new TV contracts that reportedly are going MUCH higher? What’s “way up” look like best guesses? Seems logical they can’t have top salaries that high and keep it where it’s that restrictive.

This is a done deal IMO.

We will also draft Bronny but at least it looks like we may be able to get him for a second.

The cap will continue to rise with the salaries. We'll probably have over a 200M tax threshold in 3-4 seasons, it's 168M now.

We love a good red shirt player, that's what he would be. Getting the guy a year before they would hold real draft value. Defensive ability interests me.
