Still like us against the Warriors if I’m being honest.

lol, i don't. they're 8-2 in their last ten. we've already beat them in gs once. their olds are rested, our old is out. it's in gs.

i'll be pleasantly surprised if we win at gs without lebron.

Well s***. I thought this was groundwork justification for sitting vs SA. Not a real thing that causes him to sit after a week off of real basketball.

Maybe if we get Cam and Max back, our D can do the heavy lifting (pause for jokes), if not this one ain't gonna be fun.

Meh..AD gets to flex his MVP caliber credentials. Anthony really stepped it up, after the trade deadline last season, with Lebron out, and D'Angelo shortly following him, with that ankle sprain. If we can knock the C Bags off at home, without Lebron and AD, we can beat Golden State without Lebron.

It’s not a guaranteed win by any means. I think with the way AD is playing we’ve got a shot against most teams.

Playing in this version of the All Star game when not 100%, is the opposite of Mamba Mentality.

pretty huge to be able to get your aging star an extended break before the final run. Could pay dividends in the end, so I won't make a big deal about this one game.

I seem to remember Kobe taking the court for limited minutes in all-star games when he was otherwise too injured to play because he felt an obligation to the fans who voted him in. LeBron probably felt the same way. That's not to say it's the correct decision, or that it makes sense to do that and then sit against GS. But it's not at odds with the mamba mentality. It's consistent with the very actions of the progenitor.

I think this is just resting one end of a back-to-back. Would be nice if he played against the better team to give us a better chance to win both, but playing tomorrow probably gives us a better chance of winning at least one.

Difference is Kobe had the cyborg like disrespect for pain and would not have opted THEN to miss the GS game with the precarious situation we’re in.

They were reports he got some sort of procedure (my guess a shot in the ankle?) done but who knows with this Lakers medical staff. Getting a relatively minor procedure like this done is aligned with your thought process of getting tuned up for the stretch run/playoffs
