I saw the last quarter of the Timberwolves vs Hornets game. KAT put up some stats and his ten threes are extraordinary..... However he was gassed out, and continued to hero ball and run up the stats when Anthony Edwards or other players may have been a better option. Exhausted he missed at the rim, and only had the last energy to go - the energy to moan to the ref. You could see the comeback coming a mile away as the Hornets played basketball and KAT used himself like I used to use Kobe in NBA 2k back in the day. They can absorb some losses, but this reminded me a bit of the Booker 70 against the C Bags except the Suns never lead in that game.
My dudes: I'm easily old enough to remember that day Iceman put up 63 while Skywalker Thompson dropped 73. It was the last day of the season. I'm not even looking it up; just the way I've remembered it all these years. I think the scoring title was up on the last day, sorta like how in 1941 Ted Williams went into the last day of the season hitting, IIRC, .3995, which would be rounded up to the magical number of .400. He could've sat out the double header and finished at .400. He played, went 6 for 8 and finished at .406. No one has ever hit .400 in major league baseball since then. 82 years and counting. I don't blame KAT for blowing that game: you had 43 at the half. Why would you think you couldn't drop 70+? Showtime Mamba, above, says he watched the KAT show (Hornets came from 18 down to win it) and he looked gassed, forcin' the hero ball. T-wolves lost, but damn: what would you do? He had everything going in the first half. 62 ain't bad, just disappointing. He should've been in better shape, dropped 75, his team winning. Oh, well. Embiid does the 70 against Spurs, putting klieg lights on how Wemby can be pushed around down low. Still: mad props, Embiid! Will we see a guy hit 82? I seriously doubt it.
Bucks fire Adrian Griffin. Hey, if they can do it, why can't we? Anyway: the good news is - as I see it - Doc Rivers is considered a top choice for Griff's replacement. Anything to get him off ESPN/ABC games. I want to grab him by the throat and spray Rust-oleam down it. Also: he's a crashing bore.
what happened? i saw that sga shot almost as many fts as the entire blazers team, but that's pretty much routine at this point.
Rivers is a "name" career records be damned. The second I saw this, I had to come here and see the reactions.
It's like MDA but they eventually learned his gimmick. Yet Doc is in play. He will not rest until he's coached, failed and blamed every star in the league. Graphic on standby
Best case scenario: he makes a difference, Bucks go deep enough in the playoffs to knock off the Bags, then DEN/MIN/LAC sweep 'em 4-0 in the finals, and his contract gets renewed so we have another year of not having to listen to his "commentary" on ABC/ESPN.
And pressuring the FO to fire the very coach you wanted them to hire while the guy you didn't want is thriving in Philly. Guessing he doesn't get to hand pick another coach for awhile.
GTFOH …. with the Clippers sweeping the Bucks being included in “best case” scenarios. That was a Russ level brain fart.
Okay: someone from the West. First off: C-Bags gotta lose. That's HUGE. Then...I see MIN and DEN as better than Clips. OKC is top in the West right now, but I can't see a team that young winning the Finals. Can you? Russ has benefited from other teams worrying so much about Kawhi/PG13/Beardie, even Powell.
