I agree we are better when he's more focused on defense than offense, but we're world class when he is also an aggressive scorer.

i think his best offensive performances come when you can give him space to operate in the paint, but that sacrifices some of his (and the team's) defense and also puts city miles on his already fragile frame.

again, we won a title playing two centers 18mpg each. we closed halves with AD at center and only occasionally went with him at center for heavy minutes. why we completely went away from this i'm not sure.

And AD has been asking for a center ever since.

I think it is difficult to find one that fits as Bron ages because he can't be the SF he was from the bubble team. He's a PF now. So if you start him at SF, you have to have a starting C that can stretch the floor AND switch defensively. Those are expensive and really have to sink assets into acquiring them.

i agree. i think as lebron became unable to defend the perimeter, the lebron/AD pairing stopped being optimal (it was ideal before). you can't maximize both at the same time, which is a problem from a strategy and team-building perspective.

ironically, i thought we had the one of the better solutions going in playing big at all spots but with two guys who could shoot and handle at the 1 and 2. short of adding another star without sacrificing too much depth, i'm not sure you could construct a much better roster, theoretically speaking.

I hate how the players always over help AD and give up open threes. AD is the last person who needs help on D.

When Austin did it last night, the look AD gave him. Said 1000 words.

I am truly at a loss at this jacka**’s hate now considering how well the Lakers treated his barely journeyman player of a son giving him a more than fair shot on the team, and then after his brief playing career, a job coaching with the JV squad.

That’s it in a nutshell. On a nightly basis LeBron can’t guard SFs. The Bubble season was the last of those days.

AD - “smart went off, we followed the defensive gameplan, and the rest of the team got red hot.”

sheesh.. he's kinda dumping on the gameplan?

you can tell AD is done with ham. i'm not sure why, but i'd probably go all the way back to the 5-out and not wanting to acquire or play other centers.

AD is playing well though, this is the best that he's looked since the bubble. Based on some of his recent comments, he seems to be looking more, at the guys wearing the unis to me.

it's both. he's definitely sent a few shots ham's way, but he's also pointed at himself and other players. and all of that is right. i've just noticed a few comments that were definitely unsupportive of ham from him, which isn't AD's MO.

Man AD has just been money this year. I have so much confidence in him scoring from the mid range and post right now

Thought he let Zu do a little too much, but Zu loves to remind us we gave him away for a bag of airplane peanuts every chance he gets. When it came down to getting serious, AD was covering all three of the Clippers stars and giving them hell.

    DPOY.

    DPOY.

    Clutch.

    Leader.

Had to guard PG Kawhi and Harden in ISO.

Lebron wasn't even guarding any differently back than. Danny Green was guarding the best wing option back then and he'd take the worst player on the opposing team. Just like now, unless it's like the Clippers where he has no choice to guard a star with PG/Kawhi.

We can still play bigger as evidenced by Lebron/Davis/Wood +26.2 net rating, but Ham likes to play just 1 big with Davis until recently.

He should get around 40+ tonight.
    All their bigs are injured.
center Jakob Poeltl with ankle injury. Toronto included PF/C Precious Achiuwa in the trade with Anunoby and has been without backup center Christian Koloko all season due to a respiratory illness
He should destroy Jontay Porter and Chris Boucher

I gotta tell you Ima wonderin' about parents who would name their son "Precious". Most certainly, just like the mythical "Sue" in Johnny Cash's song ... that had to be fun in school and growing up with. Just a shoot from the hip impression. Maybe there's some perfectly reasonable family story behind it. All the same .... thanks Mom and Pop. :speechless:
