i know everyone hates dlo, but our chances of winning games against anyone are low with both him and gabe out. don't worry about denver or the clippers. worry about beating memphis at home. or the spurs.

 

i wouldn't say i "hate" him. but it's pretty obvious he's not going to be someone who helps the team take that next step or come through when they need him the most. his play last postseason reflected that and this season he's been inconsistent until recently when it became apparent the trade talks had gotten to his head and he's checked out

he's just not a winning player

 

this is what i've been saying. upgrading from him via trade will be hard. downgrading from him via trade will be further doom.

 

All that means is that we don't have any legit PG options besides him. Of course it's better if he plays, because he's the only PG that we have. He hasn't played well this season, he started and played heavy minutes didn't he? He was mediocre, but now he's the magic cure, because he got benched? Ship his a** outta here

It depends on who the trade target is, I don't remember anyone, thinking of a Westbrook for Russell, Vanderbilt and Beasley trade specifically. I'd keep an eye on the Wizards, Jones is available and is on the last year of his deal at 14M. A guy at a position of need, on an expiring contract is a legit target. It wouldn't be a sexy blockbuster or anything, but if we could pry Gafford away too, that's a good move IMO.
