That's an insane stat. How was he THAT bad against a s***ty Blazers team? They're 11th and Green is out at least the next 3 weeks Is this his doctor? Are the Warriors done? They have the salaries to be aggressive at the deadline if they wanted to get wild.
I watched that game. GSW went up, blew the lead, but hung on. The only discernible game plan I could see by the Blazers was "double Steph" and yet he still created space and missed the same shots he was hitting 24 hours earlier against Brooklyn. There was a point in the 4th where it was a tight game and he missed a 3 - and the Warriors got a tap back out to a wide open Steph at the arc: and CLANK. What a difference a day makes: he and Klay were INSANE in clutch the day before in the win over the Nets. I still suspect GSW is done.
heat of the moment? didn't those messages span a couple days? that's most definitely who you are, bro. you just didn't think anybody else would find out. the agency prepared a nice pithy statement, though.
Minny got rid of DLO, started Conley, and are now ranked at the top of defensive charts as a team. coincidink?
Watched Pels go up 24, at home, against MEM in Ja's return. Ja couldn't hit an outside shot, but was unstoppable driving into the paint, and he ended up hitting the winner at the buzzer. MEM has a long way to go to be considered back in the playoff pic, but I wouldn't doubt if they're a better team with Ja, and with JJJ's improved offense. CJ McCollum had a weird shooting night: his shots from 3 that went in were perfect, hit the back of the rim and straight down frozen rope...or he airballed or shot wide and didn't hit the rim. And when he bricked it's not like he had a guy in his jock or anything. Zion looked really bad when he had mins; after the opening tip he picked up two quick fouls. He couldn't finish at the rim. Pels look kinda shizo: they were down a couple and it was like 31-29, then they went on 28-2 run and it looked like the 2nd half would be garbage, but they just stopped doing what they were doing and got torched by Ja (yeah, we've been there) and just look talented but lost.
we moved reaves to the bench in favor of reddish and stopped going down 10 points in every first quarter. lots of stuff can happen at the same time. shifting gears, morant had a storybook return. but i think he's learned little from his travails. these are direct quotes from after the game: yes, definitely, all of life's hardships happen to you and have nothing to do with your choices. way to persevere through punching a hs kid in front of your entourage and flashing guns at strippers or whatever it is that happened to you. YOU DID IT! can you believe the audacity of the haterz?! criticizing a public figure for doing really stupid s*** after being warned many times to stop doing really stupid s***. HOW DARE THEY? I KNOW WHO YOU ARE!
Yep. He looked great out there, couldn't tell he's missed any time. But he might be doing time if he doesn't wise up. Still acting like the victim. I'm not surprised because it doesn't seem like he's changed his inner circle. Maybe with him around the team more now, maybe Smart and Rose can impart some knowledge upon him. I'm skeptical, I still think the only way he'll change is by taking his kid and leave the city and people behind... including pops. Get traded to Minny, Indy, Orlando, Utah, Charlotte, Milwaukee, or Toronto. Somewhere with fewer distractions.
Can someone remind me why he went 57th? I know at a point in the draft he and his agent kind of went the AR route and told some teams not to take him. But he looked the part in college and with his family pedigree you know he's going to be a hard worker. I don't get it, shouldn't have been an end of the draft selection. His season averages are low, but look at the games when he gets actual minutes... he's solid, little foul trouble but other than that...
Could be, but Conley has the worst DRtg among their starters. Remember that Towns missed 2/3 of the season last year.
I'm out of the loop. I just read that Dwight Howard stuff. Wow. Hedonism and professional sports don't mix well.
Trodgers and i were big DLO stans (at least, that's how i remember it) when we drafted DLO. I was pretty stoked when we got him back but the more i see, the more i think, winning it all with him at the PG, is close to impossible. Dude laid an egg, every PO series he's ever been in (although, he won us a game or two last playoffs, especially against MEM i think).
