With the attention on defense and 5 steals, looked a lot closer to pre-season DLO.

Now that we’ve seen he can play good D, I’m expecting to see it more often. Defense is mostly about effort- this is why I’m not a big fan of guys who don’t give much on that end and love those who do. We know that DLO isn’t the best athlete, BUT see can see what he can do when focusing and paying attention to detail on defense.

DLO has always been smart and crafty but he is limited physically so it shows on defense which the least of his priorities. He has to choose where to put his energy.

Honestly don’t know that he ends the season with us. Overall numbers for the year are solid but the no shows in big games continues

The most consistent thing he brings is he consistently looks for AD more than anyone we've had since Rondo.

Bron goes to him late and in playoff mode, but throughout the course of any game DLO is really the only player looking to get him going.

Other than that, yeah... he's Waldo.

Yeah there is enough evidence to trade him if you're serious about winning it all .

    For who though ?

Continues to struggle in big games, but still don’t see a realistic trade package out there for DLo that makes sense and actually improves us.

Yeah. I don't know who he would be traded for. Names will become available though once we get past the 15th. Certainly in January and February. I expect us to be active and I can see us moving on.

I'm not against this but just worried he'd also forget how to shoot.

Like the player, not the fit. He'd essentially be a high end Christian Wood on this team. He'd cost assets we would need to go get a capable ball handling PG to replace DLO.

Yup, has to be a PG swap because of our defensive deficiencies there.
If we can get a League average defender and shooter of the three ball as a PG to replace him, it would help us tremendously.

I'm still a DLO fan. He's not going to bring it in BIG games but he's going to bring it in MOST games in the regular season. He also compliments AD/Bron really well. He's also good for the culture...doesn't care if he's benched in the 4th...consistently HYPES up everyone on his team.

IF we trade him...do not trade him for someone like LAVINE for God sakes

I have trouble understanding being ok with him not bringing it in big games. To me, that’s when he HAS to bring it. I get the concept of eating up regular season minutes but that’s for some bench guy not your starting PG. If Dlo can’t take the bright lights, we need to trade him so we can have some time before the playoffs to work in a new PG. I’m in total agreement that I don’t want LaVine.

i think the hope with gabe was that he could step into the playoff minutes if and when dlo did his bedwetting. we haven't had a chance to see if that model could work.

but i'm a dlo fan, in general. he's already helped us win games this year, and he changes the way teams have to play us. we do need someone else to play when he's off, though, because he's obviously super terrible at his lowest points.
