    He's always injured.

AD is who he is. Just got to manage him so he can perform at high level when it matters

Wood needs to pick it up

Why play him when he's not feeling right on B2B against a high octane team?
The Memphis AD we just saw would destroy Sabonis yet he couldn't even catch an easier lob similar to one where Hayes threw down without touching the ground.

I get it he doesn't like the street clothes moniker but he actually hurt he team last night nad they would have been better off with a Hayes/Wood who actually looked like they could move and letting AD heal up from these minor knacks. No reason to aggravate a minor injury in a game where you are sucking anyways

Not necessarily always a physical thing .. You all think it was mainly physical related when his scoring was up and down in the latest playoffs ?

The mental aspect is important ...

All athletes and people in general don't have the same will/hunger...

The guy gets no credit or brain cells devoted to memory for the stretches he’s not injured meaning misses games. How many has he missed since the deadline and playoff push and playoffs while helping carry a missing and slowed when he came back LeBron through now? One? Dinged sure but everyone gets dinged too and outside of Kobe most not all have their performance suffer at least some, and him especially considering what’s asked on defense and then offense too.

AD left it all out there in the Memphis game. He only played 27 minutes and sat the 4th, so I didn't think that would've drained everything he had to give in that two day span. It did. He's not 100%, I guess, but I wish he would've chosen to sit because he was awful and did zero to help us. We would've been much better off splitting those 35 minutes between Rui (didn't play enough), Wood and Hayes.

He had zero competitive spirit in this one. Sabonis got the best of him easily on both ends of the floor, Fox went right at him with zero hesitation. No kings were afraid or deterred from doing whatever they wanted, night and day from the Grizz game.

Listen, AD is the best defensive player in the game. He is our most important player if we're going to contend. Those are both very true. What is also true, is if any starter (or player playing 32+ MPG) who's pulling down a bare minimum of 8 figures ($10m+) and only makes three baskets; I'm going to take issue with their performance. This isn't OK for a 3rd option, definitely not for a second option and sure as f*** not OK for *THE* guy (at least according to Ham and Bron).

If you're on the court being who you are, you have to be better. Dig deep, rise up and be f***ing better. Bron isn't 100% either and in year 21, puts up... wastes a historic performance. I just don't know how you can see him pushing his body to that point at this stage in his career and be OK being pedestrian at best.

I love AD, but you can't do this. Not even in a scheduled loss. It's not the result, it's the process...how we got there.

did AD do something to piss off sabonis years ago or something?

maybe sabonis asked for his autograph and got snubbed a la david robinson and shaq?

Interesting stat..Sabonis is AD's kryptonite? Jokic too? Maybe we should put another big on the floor, and let AD be the help defender?

I'm not dissing him. He's factually always injured. Now it's the hip, before was the back, before the shoulder, or the knee, or the ankle, etc etc.
He's playing through it now and kudos to him. But his body is just prone to injuries. He is who he is and what I've been saying is that we need to manage that. Build rosters knowing that he will not be always available nor always in shape to play at all-star level.
We still depend on him heavily and can be a top 5 player in the league for stretches. We just need to cover for him when he's not.

He also struggles against strong bigs who are bullies down low. He's 0-8 against Sabonis for example. It's just who he is a dcwe rather embrace it or will continue to be disappointed

Edit: Just saw it got shared above too. He just doesn't like guys pounding him in the post. Biyombo would be perfect for those games

Didn't AD just walk all over the corpse of Biyombo in the last game? I'm still confused as to what that guy, is supposed to bring to the table. Sabonis hasn't bullied anybody ever, he's a finesse player. He damn sure has never bullied AD..that's CAP

    https://stathead.com/basketball/ver...urce=bbr&utm_medium=sr_xsite&utm_id=davisan02

If you are watching the games, you will notice that the only advantage Sabonis has, is that he's quicker than AD, and beats him down the floor regularly. That usually gives the Kings a mismatch, that often turns into an open look from 3.

We're just going to ignore the 4 really good games he's had excluding that one (including player of the game and vacuuming up all offensive rebounds)? Cool and on brand.

The fact that he didn't produce during AD's Emmy Award game shouldn't mean much, JJJ got humiliated during that one. If someone of that standing within the league got taken to task, I don't know what you expect from a $5m caliber player.

What do I mean by Emmy Award game? Glad you asked. So for television award consideration, an actor/studio or someone else on the actor's behalf will submit one entry of what they thought was the actor's best performance, the one that will give them the best chance to win for whatever category they're nominated for. When it's time for DPOY voting season, that's the game (as of now and it'll be hard for him to top) AD or the Lakers would submit for award consideration.
