You don't capitalize "the" in titles (and even that is debatable), but handle like his --- you have to. For readability. Of course it's the programmer in me that talks.

sometimes injuries can be a blessing in disguise. If he can maintain focus, he will continue to learn the NBA level game at a greater level if he stays in tune while not playing. There are some things you can only see by watching sometimes.
