I'm not sure LeBron didn't take over coaching the fourth. Might have to do that more often.

    Why not double KD sooner?????
You literally had ONE player to stop.
    Just awful.
Our defense looked terrible until the fourth.
    Free Max Christie!!!!!

but what was the preseason for, right? i get that that a lot of vets and coaches treat the early part of the season like extended preseason, but you could even see the panic on ham's face between the third and fourth quarters. he was like, man, if we don't win this, i'm looking at mike brown-ville.

edit: also, how long will it take to can the 5-out entirely, especially if AD's on the floor. just a tremendous waste. they didn't run it much in the second half of this game, and lo and behold...AD doesn't disappear!

It's perplexing. I know a lot of players sat at various points in pre-season, but what the f*** were we working on in training camp and pre-season practices? Film session? 5 on 0 walk thrus?

It's clunky. There's no chemistry. I think there's too many players with a green light and when they're out there together, especially without a real facilitator, no one knows what to do. Wood, Rui, Cam have all been told to fire away. It looks like DLO and Gabe have permission to launch as many 3s as they want, but their light is busted... no clue if it's green.

There needs to be a pecking order and an adult table setter other than Bron.

The non Bron minutes are horrifying.

Which is why Ham asked him if he could save his a** in the 4th

Agree with the sentiments about preseason... sometimes it looks like all that was to learn nothing.

Can we stop with the Gabe/DAR and Wood/Hayes pairings? Oh and also free Max

I just saw LeBron deciding what plays to run in the huddle, smh, that’s the sole reason we won

i will say that i'm as surprised as ham that our starters aren't looking great in the first two games. because they DID look good in the preseason. most of that is dlo, though, i guess.

Gabe and DLO should both be under 30 minutes. 24-28, depending on flow and who's playing better. That should open up around 10 minutes/2 shifts for Max.

That is what I saw as well. LeBron took over as a player/coach Bill Russell/Lenny Wilkens style. Otherwise we lose by 15-20 points. One situation I'm glad LeBron has the power he does. Hambone is scary.

I want to support him, but I don't understand him. Feels like he makes EVERYTHING harder than it needs to be.

I missed this thread. Amazed by the amount of HoF coaches in this forum. Really blessed to share this space with all of you

I think he really likes Gabe and he will be overplayed in tough games.
I like his energy but I would only play him along LeBron
