this tweet basically sums up THT's season. jazz were missing a bunch of guys tonight too which meant he got even more chances than usual. shooting and consistency are his issues. if he can fix at least one of them, we'll be hearing a lot more about him

Hopefully he got it out his system. Don't like any of these revenge games former Lakers have circled, especially when they're on a random heater.

seems like utah is maybe going to start him this year? he had 26/8/5 in their preseason game last night. if this works it kind of confirms my suspicion that YET ANOTHER downside to the russ acquisition was stifling THT as a primary ballhandler.

If you want to make a trade for a good player you have to give up something good so there’s that though. Like Zu for Bullock or in this case THT for …. uhhh …. errrr never mind.

    Yeah but he's playing PG.
He always looked to have a ton of potential but is taking time to flourish. This may be his year.

yeah, he's not a great fit with lebron and AD either, but lots of folks (including on here) acted like he sucked. he didn't and doesn't. in the right role/system, he can play.

Did he finally add the “jump” part at least to his mid range Js? I remember seeing him do it once in a blue moon. Never understood taking so long to, and getting all the way to the NBA seemingly without doing it. He had to expend so much effort to get enough space to shoot without it. It seemed to me to be the one big thing he lacked in addition to making his shots consistently enough. Bumping people with his strong body and having those freakishly long arms could be devastating in the mid area if he also elevated. It was either the set shot from 3 or hell bent to the rim.

not sure. the bits i've seen he looks like basically the same guy with a longer leash and surrounded by shooters.

he was never going to be a primary ballhandler here, so I'm glad he's getting an opportunity elsewhere.

^^^ ..... great observation. Reaves arrived as a rookie and they knew THT had to go.

that's true, but it doesn't change the fact that THT doesn't suck and that we killed his value by piling russ on top of an already awkward fit.
