yes i agree, but defense still matters and trez couldn't defend doubling down on offense isn't the answer either though, as we saw this season
Agh You are stubborn. I'm not mad at you though, you stick to your positions, I respect that. It's difficult to judge this season IMO, the three main expected offensive threats, either missed most or all of the season. Monk and Melo added some punch, but they would have been extra juice to go along with Lebron AD and Nunn. I truly expected Nunn to have a Monk like season scoring the ball. We just didn't get anything at all from him. I'll meet you halfway and say keep Caruso, let the other guys walk.
The Joker took advantage of him some, so he gets the blame for Kawhi and Paul George choking. It's a narrative that follows him I guess. I thought Trez played hard and brought some spirit and toughness to the table. He could get buckets too.
his situation was an odd one cavs sat him for a few months which had him out of shape upon arriving to LA. then he suffers the toe injury in his first game which lingered and affected his play. and on top of that you had the FO ordering vogel to start him over trez/gasol which led to drama
yeah, but...he's basically been situational guy at best since then, too. he's just not a good basketball player. negative hoop iq, and his athleticism isn't enough to make up for it.
I tried to objectively look at his stats to see how he stacked up on the all time list. Decent rebounder, but the rest, not so sure. Averaged playing 56 out of 82 games per year for his career. 43rd all time rebounder. Team success? During his best years playing for Detroit, his inflated stats did not translate into winning basketball. The best records came under Stan Van Gundy who knows how to use limited big men. Detroit feels he is a top 12 all time player for the franchise though... That may be enough to get his jersey retired in Detroit, but I don't think that will qualify him for the HOF. Just doesn't look like enough there.
Ummm .... I understand where the disappointment in their respective stints as a Laker confusion comes from, but that ain't even him at 43 on the rebound list.
