i wish we had a Artest/Ariza SF rotation. It hurt me to lose ariza, but i never wanted to reject artest coming to the team.

it also would of been nice to see fish end with the lakers. we could of gotten him back, its not like nash ever had the locker room charisma like fish, or did ANY BETTER then fish since we go him.

if OKC could of used him, we certainly could of, he just had to be willing to come off the bench.

This is not mean at all. It's pretty accurate actually. I said long time ago that Wes has the physical talent, but his basketball IQ is too low to even play defense properly (something that he otherwise has talent for), and offensively... it's just not happening at this level. This is too bad, obviously, but it's true.

Wes can't seem to handle the ball and being under pressure very well. He's definitely a 2nd or 3rd string player (3rd being most probable). What I really didn't like is how he missed those two free throws. I mean, if can't handle clutch free throws in a empty pre-season game, how is he going to handle a game that actually means something. I can see him screwing up a lot down the stretch in many games this season.

Reminds me of Devean George. That's a put down to George! I'm going to hold out on final judgment on this one. Wes has issues making good decisions (lapses) but I'm willing to wait on him. In terms of length and speed at this position, who else do we have? That's the real problem.

I think he sucks and needs to be replaced.

That being said, he's a Laker and relatively young, so I want to support him, and will hope against hope that he figures it out.

He might find a niche, as a second team defender and rebounder.

It still looks like he has no confidence.

Nah, even if he finds a niche, he'll still try to dribble and shoot or turn the ball over. He just doesn't get it.

I think the opposite. I think he's got way too much confidence. So much confidence that he often screws things up thinking he can do more than he can.

Well apparently he worked out a lot this summer with Kobe ... if you can't get it with that you may never get anywhere ...

Same sentiment that was said to Randle, if you screw this up, you're an idiot.

And right now, Wes is an idiot.

I don't think he missed those free throws because he was overconfident. Dude still lacks confidence.

I think he's overthinking out there. He's completely detached from any instinct out there.

I going off the premise that no one can be that stupid during the game.

I think it's more likely that he's stupid than that he is thinking too much.

Elden Campbell was not a high bbl iq but he managed based upon length. Keeping fingers crossed

George could hit the clutch trey every now and then...was a decent defender and did not play beyond his capabilities. He also had an attitude. Johnson seems like an airhead out there. You put the latter on that early 00's Laker team that drew coverage away from him and he probably still wouldn't register an impact. Seriously...

Much better game from Wes tonight. Restored a little tiny bit of faith in him. He played tonight like he is supposed to. Knock down the open jumpers, play D, finish on the break off turnovers. That's it. It's not rocket science, kid.
