the only reason he was successful for that little while when AD was hurt is because he had russ and lebron feeding him for easy points. not the case in denver he gambled on himself with requesting a trade and lost. would've been better off just staying in LA and backing up AD. still like his hustle and think he can find success if he improves his horrendous defense
he's the same guy he was when we traded him the first time, imo. decent backup on low minutes. hard to play against top competition. poor man's trez.
he wasn't traded. they just released him after the 17-18 season and he signed with the wizards i'm looking at his numbers and his career year came in 20-21 with russ in washington, but he put up decent numbers in 18-19 and 19-20 as well and that was without a russ or lebron to feed him. i wonder if his poor play since getting to denver is also due to confidence issues
oh yeah, i forgot. we traded zubac and just dropped bryant. i still don't think he's been different over time. it's hard to win with bryant as a fixture in the rotation. if he is, it needs to be in a bench sparkplug role.
Ouch. Brutal destination for TB. If you lose your minutes to Deandre, are you even allowed to play in the NBA the following year? Is there a rule against that? Playing against a team that starts two centers and Malone doesn't even look acknowledge his existence.
wonder what bryant did there. he seemed well-liked by players and coaches here. maybe we can bring him back on a vet min next year!
Paper champion always wondered how guys feel if they didn’t play a minute but the team wins the chip. Do you really run around telling people you’re an NBA champion? if MJ’s teams won a chip with him on the bench, would we really be counting it as seven championships to compare other players by? I doubt it.
especially in this case, when it seems like he was at odds with the organization and was only there for three months. though i did see him cheering on the bench, so it's not like he was just a pain in the a** or something.
I think Malone hated him because he didn't talk enough about the Nuggets. TB will auction it off 10 years from now when he needs the money.
he's made what, 25 million plus? hopefully, he's good enough with money not to have to go there. but he might auction it off out of spite!
you know you suck when 50 year old DAJ is getting minutes over you. after getting to denver he was only briefly in the rotation when jokic missed some time with an injury and he stunk it up, which landed him in malone's dog house (which never came out of) malone even threw him under the bus in one of his pressers, so you know he just flat out didn't like him i'm sure he'll get a one year deal from another team this offseason, but he's not going to last much longer in the league if he doesn't improve his defense
