sure. what are the odds that they stay fully healthy with that short rotation (that will continue to be short) for two full years? that they get to play a team as weak as miami in the finals again if they get there? that their second round and conference finals opponents will have missing (paul) and injured (lebron) principal players?

so, sure, obviously if all this stuff happens again, they'll win again. what we're talking about is the odds they happen again like this.

as sirron said, repeats and threepeats are uncommon for many reasons. and this ain't the shaq/kobe lakers or the jordan bulls.

^ All of the above. Denver faced an 8-seed, 4-seed, 7-seed, and 8-seed. Is that the easiest seed path in history? Sure, we were better than the usual 7-seed, but that's a relatively light path and doesn't necessarily say much about the future.

If Denver had instead faced a healthy Lakers team, then a healthy Clippers team, then a healthy Memphis team with Adams, then a healthy Milwaukee team...I don't like their chances. Could lose to any of those teams, and would be a longshot to get by them all.

    That's all ridiculous and bitter.
Just accept they are stronger and better. You can't use "easy path" argument or talk about injuries and then say nothing about our bubble run.
Just be real. They are winning because they were the better team this year. That simple.

We just have to be better. We weren't better than them and that's our focus.

It's even more stupid to take any merit on their victory when they swept us. What does that tell about our team?

Denver nuggets are a stupid franchise with a stupid name and stupid fan base ( if they have one ) city of Denver should just stick to the Broncos .

Honest question, after we beat the warrior how many of you thought we will lose to the nuggets? Let alone get swept

I was worried, but thought that we would win in 6 or 7.

Joker is European, he is soft, no way he has back2back rings in him

    Some of those takes?

Pau had back to backs in him and I wouldn’t call Jokic soft.

Granted Pau went to battle with Kobe but Pau was battling his a** off in 3 straight Finals.

Pau was the co pilot, joker is not. I really don’t think it’s a fair comparison.

Kobe led the team ! Joker is the team

Why on earth are you calling him soft then. He’s done things no big in history of the game has done before in the playoffs.

Disagree there too. It’s a team game. If he’s healthy he will be great again next year. Dude is in his prime.

i think the word "soft" is very poorly defined and thrown around way too much.

I thought we would lose to the Nuggets. They’ve got the best player in the game, a guard who can get super hot and win games by himself and a great supporting cast.

You also need to let go of the envy, they beat us fair and square and are doing the same thing to Miami. You can only play what’s put in front of you and they’re clearly the best team this year.

We be lucky to get another Healthy LeBron / AD together, ever again . This was our best chance and I really thought We can put up a fight! I don’t wanna say we underachieved but after beating GS, I really thought LeBron and AD are not gonna come this far and not do it .

There's some debate that Denver Nuggets the most overrated 1 seed in West in 20 years.
    Only 53 reg season wins.
when was the last time the West champion won fewer than 60 games in the reg season?
    Last year 64
prior year only 52, but Covid shortened season to 72 games instead of 82.Prior year only 52, but again covid shortened.

prior to that probably once or twice in 20 years, has the West champ won less than 60 games
West #1 seed typically has 60+ wins.

i'll split the difference--the wins against mem and gs made me think it was possible we could beat denver. i expected a closely fought series that went 6 or 7. i'd argue we got a closely fought series that went 4.

anyway, yeah, agree with the above. it was denver's year. their guys stepped up when opponents didn't, and their stars delivered consistently. hats off. good basketball, too.
