It's absolutely insane the growth of Martin. The guy was WAIVED by the Hornets 2 years ago. Now he's making fadeaways, dribbling to 3s and playing at an all-star level. NBA is so much more than just raw talent
I wanna say DEN in 5, but I'm done underestimating MIA & the way Spoelstra has them playing. DEN in 6.
feel like the heat are really good at player development. if we had their development track record with our penchant for finding nba talent where others don't see it, we'd be set. i know handy's great, but i feel like for us, we maybe put it all on one guy instead of having a great comprehensive system. or maybe not. i honestly don't know the way we do it (nor miami). just the results.
Denver looks primed to win the ring, but I wouldn't count out Miami, they have some shooters that team
They are and I think it is much easier when you have a continuity, culture and staff that's been there for 15 years and counting. Spo is a great coach and has been rewarded accordingly. That doesn't happen in this league. SA had similar with Pop and a structure in place for two decades and that's why when they were serious about basketball, they were able to find and develop those guys (and really kick off the Euro hidden gem, stash movement).
I haven't watched the Heat much, but they are obviously better than their record like we were at the end of the year. Only one other 8 seed has made it to the Finals, so it's already a success, but it doesn't sound like anyone on either side is satisfied. Having a week off will benefit Denver, but I wouldn't doubt if the first half of game one they look a little off compared to Miami.
Perfect game for it too. Chicken Nuggets been off for 2 weeks. They will be rusty. I think the team that wins game 1 will win the series.
I am expecting another brutal 7 games series ! But MIA will pull it off ! Denver is just having a fluke season .
