Retirement or not, i'm thankful he saved our franchise and gave us his all. He was incredible tonight, fighting against father time and an injury. Every trip down the court i was thinking, is this it. Will he go down now. But he kept on fighting (reminded me of Kobe), refused to give up. You gotta respect that, man is an icon and one of the best ever. So thank you Bron, you earned my respect before but now, it will last forever.

How do you know this? That's an elite talent, I don't care about Philly or Brooklyn, the Lakers are a different animal

Actually the talk over the summer was that Rob didn't want to commit to a long term deal. The owner stuff was at the trade deadline.

Probably foot surgery, then sit out the whole next season so he can recoup and play with his boy.

On a positive note, if he got this far, playing as many minutes as he has? It has to be more of a pain tolerance thing, than a career threatening injury.

I think he will take off next year and then come back for one more season in the hope he can play with his son. But, if Brony does really well at USC, it could throw a wrench in Lebron's plan. If all of a sudden Brony is a top draft pick, he would have to walk away from his salary and play somewhere else for almost nothing. Guess he could do that. Hadn't thought that this would be his plan, but maybe it was all along.

Yeah, but I don't think salary is that important to Bron at this point in his career. He could take a year off, I can see that.

Lebron ain't taking off Jack, he has 2 years left to cap a brilliant career. He just got to the Conference Finals as the 7th seed. Why would he take a year off? That doesn't make any sense.

I don’t think it’s surprising that a guy in his 20th year playing on a bad foot would consider retiring.

I expect him to be back though.

i don't think lebron's retiring, but if he does, i sure as hell hope he tells us prior to FA, because with 50 million off the books we could do some things...

and just tons of decisions would be impacted.

Just saw the full clip. I don't think he's serious. It really looked like the usual Lebron's pressure to the FO through media. He only wants to compete for titles and apparently feel this team is not enough. For sure he wants us to push for a trade for Kyrie/Dame.

Hope we don't cave and continue building a solid roster that sets the franchise good for post-Lebron

We’ve finally found a roster we can build upon. I’m hoping Rob doesn’t cave to Lebron’s passive/aggressive comments. Adding Kyrie puts us right back in Westbrook world with zero depth. We are one or two tweaks from being a championship team.

Props to Lebron, he showed up and left his blood and sweat on the floor.

Think the retirement talk is a shot at the rest of the team, especially AD, after a frustrating loss. I don’t think he’ll leave without a retirement tour but maybe that foot is really bothersome
