Father Time is running him down. No shame in that. Just the reality of it all.

Send him to Germany, heal the foot and make another run at it next year.

Even if he is injured, you can never count on a 38 year old man to be fresh as a daisy at this time. He'll be banged up during the season or banged up once the intensity of the playoffs begin. I guess you can say with this deeper team he doesn't have to play as much minutes in the regular season and get worn down as hard.

Purely statistically Lebron is our most important player. He leads the rest of the team in points and assists, in addition, he also makes a lot of rebounds.

Don't hate me for saying this. We need Kyrie. We can't count on Lebron to be the difference maker anymore. We need someone that can go toe to toe with a Murrey or a Steph. AD would do his things. Move Lebron to the 3rd pecking order.

The evolution in the playoffs is into aDraymond plus kind of guy. He was really good out is of the rest games on defense, off ball, cutting, and in the post. Still maybe the best in the league in transition. Rebounding, switchability: still a lot there compared to a guy like Melo in his old age.

This is where DLo sucking hurts. Lakers looked their best when DLo/Reaves was cooking allowing Lebron to move into a different role on offense.

Reaves has done his part but needs to figure out with Dlo. Another shot creator is needed.

Are you just noticing he has a little bit, very little bit but it caught my eye after he got here after awhile, of Lonzo’s old motion? I mentioned it once and got no comment, like or dislike. Takes the camera lined up straight on from front or rear to see it.

Having Lebron as a Laker has been such a win/win. If he brings us a chip, wonderful! If not, haha f*** Lebron.

This has been quietly a poor series for Lebron.

Poor series from LeBron but he's 38 years old. He shouldn't be this good still.

But he should defer a bit more if he really doesn't have "it" anhymore.

I hope we see him do that next year. Time will tell....he's not been the same since that foot injury though that's for damn sure

He's playing like James Harden so he's losing in the playoffs .

Next adjustment for him ( well he's a couple of years late on this) would be quick moves from the post/elbow era

Hes been pretty good defensively this series imo… what has killed us have been the 3 point shooting. He’s been taking Westbrook-3’s. The ones that are huge momentum killers.

That's the thing , he has to defend at a good level so he has no legs on the other side of the floor

He's not even the guy he was, before the OKC game though. That guy would have us up 3-0. James is gutting it out playing hurt IMO.

Lebron has been hurt 4 out of 5 seasons with us ..

He has to recognize this and defer more to Austin going forward in the clutch .

This is the hope for next season

i think we're going to find out that his foot injury was getting worse as things went on, and the ankle turns didn't help matters, either.

yes, this will probably be life for us next year, too.

i was encouraged that he played defense in the playoffs, though. as others have said, the next step is moving his offense closer to the hoop and letting reaves initiate more in the half court.

He's actually posted up a lot this series - him throwing up ill advised 3's has kind of obscured this but the Lakers have scored well off his post game and they've used it a lot. HIs +/- has been very positive for this series because of this (and despite the 3's)

Russell just going AWOL (actually full sabotage is probably a better term - he's actually hurting team) has really messed up what the Lakers had cooking after the deadline - two three level scoring guards matched to two swiss army knife dudes.
