I hear you, but I feel like it’s pretty rare that only the home teams win in a 7 game series at this stage of the playoffs. So my last sentence is making the assumption that a home team will lose at least 1 game in the series.
I feel like I’ve been saying this every game but this game is must win. Denver is a hard place to play in and we need to steal home court advantage again. AD shuts down Jokic. Gang rebound. Attack the basket.
Our confidence coming out of Game 1 has weirdly made me really nervous for Game 2. Denver is a really good team but I think their inability to deter us at the rim should allow us to win out in the end.
Any time I let thoughts like that creep into my mind, I think back to Kobe and I see pure, competitive RAGE. IMO, the only player this century who even comes close is Kevin Garnett. But even so, there was only one Mamba.
It's the Conference Finals..it's not a time to be friendly. He's saying basically, f*** the Lakers, we are here to win...I don't have a problem with that all. Ham pretty much responded in the same fashion " I guarantee that we'll be ready in game two". Bring it on...Win or go home..fake platitudes being thrown at the opposition, is weak sauce anyway IMO.
Put Vando on Murray, Rui on Jockitch let A.D. roam the paint like Predator in the jungle and lets win this already. GET TO DA CHOPPAAA
i've never heard malone talk so much. it's got to be on purpose. maybe he felt like his guys needed a confidence boost or something. and i mean, we beat them twice in the regular season; it's not like we've never solved them. it's weird how he's all smug about it. man, you almost lost that game after leading by 15 for most of it.
