I never compare myself to these sports stars, they hit the genetic lottery. You and your wife worked hard this life time, maybe your next life, you will be rich and have many super model gfs.
Wouldn't want it. Been around the block and dated a number of super pretty ladies that were vapid or totally narcissistic, me first, individuals. Just want to be with someone who ain't playing games and is down to earth, tries hard to make things work and likes some of the things I do. I found that and married her. We have been together 30 years and counting. She even enjoys the Lakers!!!! And the kicker, she went to school in Boston!! LOL. I taught her how to hate the C Bags.
eh, cuban sidesteps a bit, because he mentions ratings. if denver makes the finals over the lakers, you're going to lose a ton of viewers, i think (casual laker fans and the laker haters). and if boston and la play, you're going to draw in folks who don't even follow basketball at all, imo. so he admits that ratings matter but leans on the fact that they've been good overall. that doesn't mean they'll continue to be.
Agreed but not to the extent the league absolutely would do anything in its power to get the Lakers-C Bags finals
yeah, i don't think so. i just agree that the league office certainly won't be pulling for denver (unless it looks like it's going to be a short series). and while i think rigging is unlikely, you can't ignore things like the officiating crew that was in boston yesterday or the way game 5 was called against us in gs. both those games ended up beatdowns anyway, but there were mechanisms in place just in case they didn't... but i trust silver's nba more than stern's. stern wasn't above outright fixing outcomes, as he most certainly did in the 2006 finals and with the cp3 trade veto.
my dad and i were talking about this and thought you should front him if he posts. make them throw a good pass over AD. the downside is it can effectively screen AD from helping on cutters and getting defensive rebounds. jokic is a problem.
He's a monster. He's going to get his, I don't think we're taking that away. I try to take away him as a playmaker and then make him work on the other end. Keep him moving, keep him having to come out of the paint to defend and having to try to get back to rebound/protect. The others can shoot but they can't Golden State shoot, so you don't have to be as connected and can play the passing lane angles a little more, especially AD, Bron, and Vando.
This. We have to limit his Assist because he is a great passer. And make him defend like we did for steph/klay in the last round. And, more importantly we have to attack the paint all game. We did a great job not getting sucked into a 3 point contest with GSW (which surprised the hell out of me tbh). Now we have to keep that same focus up on Denver.
Jokic is important, but I think equally or more important is our offense figuring out their defense. Go right at Jokic, Murray, etc. In the 2 games Phoenix won, Jokic had 53 & 11 asts, and 30, 17 & 17, and Murray had 32, 6 & 5, and 28, 7 & 5. It wasn't so much about limiting them as outscoring them, bc Denver's defense is generally fine but can be exploited. Especially our bench vs their. Our bench can and should destroy them. In one of the Pho games, their bench outscored Den's 40-11. I want to see something like that happen.
