Not gonna lie, that foul was not a great look for Lebron. Mid air push out of laziness. Arguably just as, if not more, dirty as Looney’s hit on AD. But I DON’T think that was the play that injured Wiggins. Lebron doesn’t put much force into the push, and Wiggins lands on the opposite side of the injured ribs. The first clip in this tweet is from a few minutes earlier, shows Wiggins grimacing and grabbing his ribs after a completely clean and legal box out by Lebron. THAT’S where I think Wiggins got injured, on a normal physical basketball play.
If Wiggins is really hurt and not likely play, okay, but with GSW's "flop" accusations and general all-around BS (which Indicates they need to do this 'cuz the defending champs are afraid of the #7 seed), I wouldn't doubt if he plays and is fine. More gamesmanship from GSW? Maybe.
What an absolute delight to see PHO get hammered at home, sent home. Frauds! Will KD drum up some story and demand to have his mercenary a** traded to some other team now? Meanwhile: WTF happened to PHI in the 4th? After Maxey knocked the ball from Jaylen and they called a clear-path, only to have Embiid shoot and make both FTs, BOS goes down and has a shot blocked and it went out of bounds, the refs getting it wrong, challenge, won...then the refs conferenced, talked to both coaches, went back in time and said Maxey had needed to shoot both of those FTs - "we effed up" - they take two points away from PHI, Maxey makes both FTs, 76ers take the ball out of bounds...then have no imagination on offense or energy on D. After coming back from being down by like 16 points, 76ers took a lead, then Tatum caught fire after an atrocious shooting game and killed 'em. It was almost as if the reversed call about the clear-path took the win out of the 76ers' sails, but Maxey had made both FTs. In front of a rabid PHI crowd, who saw a closeout coming, 76ers suddenly turned to soggy bread. I will always be baffled by this. It was weird as hell. Anyone have a different take on that? Hey, maybe BOS just played great D and Tatum caught fire. But I still don't get why PHI, who looked like they had the momentum, crowd going wild, just continually bricked 3s from the corner possession after possession after they had come back from an huge deficit to take a 3-point lead late. Strange. No killer instinct from the 76ers. Hope the Lakers don't do anything like that in Game 6!
haha, it makes me so happy chris paul will never win a ring. and even more so, that KD's legacy will probably be summed up as "only won rings because of curry" as for the sixers, they're toast. doc will be able to add yet another blown 3-1 lead to his resume
PHO has to win at home to force a Game 7...and for the second year in a row they don't show up. They gave up 81 in the first half! But let's give the Nugs credit: Jokic is unreal. All their role players work hard, know what they're doing, the team looks like a well-oiled machine and they really are the #1 seed. Are PHO two virtuoso scorers and a lot of scrubs? Yea, so what did anyone expect? You're Malone, you make adjustments, and PHO crumbles. Gotta admit, I loved seeing Arizona get killed on national TV.
We should all be proud of CP3 for overcoming his addictions and remaining clean for multiple years now
Worst, most overrated playoff coach who keeps finding himself in positions to get in and then find new ways to fail and point fingers.
If he's addicted after finally making it to ONE final (and losing), how come he can't "score" to feed his addiction? Looks like he's never gonna sniff the Finals again. Just enjoy your insurance commericals or whatever, ya cheapshot artist-loser.
Internal strife for a competitor in the same conference. Hate to see it. But to be injured and have your teammates coming down on you can't feel good. "I guess you guys needed me" since you lost by 25. But there are preexisting reasons why they were going at him. Probably not a situation that can continue.
i once again ask: how? why would indy trade turner for ayton? it's not like phx has young players or draft picks to sweeten the deal. if you're looking for a big man who doesn't play with much heart or interest, ayton's your guy. that said, it's hard to play hard for guys like booker and paul, too. no heroes here. maybe monty williams. i like him. he needs to get out of there.
The Suns have no depth and no chemistry, and that is a big problem. I mean, I expected Denver to win anyway, but this wasn't a good look for Phoenix.
they need to move ayton for a couple decent role players, but i'm not sure who bites there. not sure what they can do with paul, tbh. i think if kyrie extended prior to FA (i think this can happen, rules changed here?), i could see a deal with dallas in which dallas took on paul and ayton and phx got irving and dead weight salary (mcgee, bertans) or something.
I agree with you. I feel this might be a ploy by them too by trying anything at this point. High chance he will play and is fine. Kerr wants to turn this into Jordan flu game. To motivate the troops.
Kyrie with KD again? They will play even less defense. They will need KD/Kyrie/Booker to score 40 each to win.
CP3 is only partially guaranteed for $15 mil next year, so they can just cut him and eat the $15 mil if they want to. I think they're still over or right at the cap though, so it might not help the team much, unless it makes them more willing to take on more salary since they'd be under the luxury tax. Or maybe they can trade him for other contracts that another team wants to get off of and then that team can cut CP and clean their books for just $15 mil.
