I don't want to see Myles Turner in Phoenix..or Memphis, Golden State or the Clippers either. I'd rather snatch him up for the Lakers. He will play well here and we keep him from the other guys.

Sure, I would love him here. How do you propose to get him?

Beasley and Bamba make more than enough of the salary. Turner only makes 20 million. Hell..personally I'd revisit a Turner and Buddy Hield trade, for say D'Angelo and Beasley. Indiana will the cap space to absorb a S&T. I have a feeling that Western Conference contenders, will definitely looking for an AD counter this summer. He could be a problem on any of these teams I mentioned..Dallas too

Why would Indiana do that when they're committed to Haliburton for the future, and they already turned down previously reported Lakers offers including picks?

Haliburton could play with D'Angelo..Sacramento should have kept him with Fox. They would beaten Golden State. It's still debatable about what we actually offered the Pacers...I saw some of their sites saying, that we never had any real serious negotiations with them..in spite of the media saying that a Russ deal was pretty a much a done deal. There is some pushback saying that nothing concrete was actually on the table.

    Any reliable source?

From what I recall, all credible sources reported on that deal

The trade you propose makes absolutely no sense for Indiana. One thing important in a trade is that the other team also gets something of value that fits their strategy

D'Angelo has value. Why doesn't it make sense? Turner is on a 2 year 20 million a year deal. He will be right back on the trading block by mid-season. It's not like it's working in Indiana..he had the best season of his career and they still sucked. They also offered Ayton a max contract, I don't think the Pacers are married to Myles Turner long-term at all. He'd fit great here to me.

All I ever saw this summer was various "anonymous sources" being quoted. I can't really think of one of those type of stories that actually panned out this summer. Every trade was out of the blue. It was a real bad summer for the NBA insiders IMO.

That might want the draft pick that comes with it. I definitely expect Myles Turner to be playing for someone else next season
    I hope it's us.

The we offer the pick with players in return for Turner and Buddy

That would be a pretty good team

Oh..we are going to have to include a pick..that goes without saying..we won't be the only team after him. Phoenix probably has the best package..maybe Golden State too. I'd rather have Myles alone but I'd take Buddy to get Turner

Half of the league wants Turner. Desperate teams might send a couple picks and one young guy.
Indiana was very good with Halliburton and have a shot at being a solid play-in team next season. They may trade Turner but it's for a deal that makes them continue to grow and collect assets that fit Halliburton's growth. DLo and Beasley ain't that

reading between the lines, imo, we kept engaging them, and they kept upping the ask. we finally decided to stop the ask before we offered two unprotected 1sts way out in the future. and thank god. we're on the cusp of the conference finals, and they're watching the lotto intently.

right. they used their space to retain turner at a reasonable number. why on earth would they move him for cap savings and picks? they want to stop sucking. it was never going to happen there, and that's ok. we're better for it, and so are they.

I don't know that..if Turner wouldn't have been injured so much, he would have already been traded. Again..they offered Ayton a max contract, with Turner already on their team. The thing about his value I guess can be debated. He's been on the trading block for years, and I don't recall a lot of killer offers the Pacers turned down for him. I think D'Angelo can play with Haliburton, don't think the Kings should have traded him for Sabonis in the 1st place. Still..the East isn't that weak, any anymore , a healthy Haliburton running that team back, isn't going to make any serious noise IMO. They have other young bigs as it is...free Myles Turner!!! I include Beasley, could be Bamba, because the Pacers want to get rid of Hield.

I think that that 2 pick stuff was cap. Actually from what I gathered, Brogdon was the guy we had serious discussions about with the Pacers, heard they like Talen, but Boston had a better offer.

That money they gave him this season, I understand was a one time opportunity and if they didn't give it to him, they would lose it. At 20 million a season for two years, he will absolutely be right back on the block this summer IMO. You are probably right, that we'll most likely get outbid for his services. But man...we'd be at the very least where we are now, with Turner and Hield, instead of Russell, Beasley and Vanderbilt. I do want to keep Vanderbilt tho. Two FRP? No I was never down with that.

right. we weren't getting that deal, and the deal we got was better. water under the bridge. it's definitely over, though, imo. and really, i don't want to deal with them as long as pritchard's there. he's (perhaps understandably) still mad about PG, and he's second most vain gm (hat-tip, daryl morey) i've ever seen. he's petty and will work against his team's interest to settle scores. i'm out. enjoy 9th place, we'll enjoy 7 playoff wins and counting.
