Schroder gets too much disrespect around here. I mean, he does a lot of really good things for this team and while he may not be a starter, he does some really valuable things for us. He is tenacious, brings great energy, can get hot from the field, teams have to put a man on him. Sure, he has some negatives but I would not be too danged unhappy if he stayed with this team.

Some good points. I think Schroeder is a microwave scorer that is a great defender. I believe that’s worth the mMLE - however if we can find someone better that’s fine too. I’d personally be offering it to him.

No high level player is available for the tax payer exception. We signed Nunn and Walker. Two strikeouts that can't get minutes on a good team.

He's our best and only POA defender ( well with Vando who isn't going chase Curry around screens) .

DS is key to our team after the losses of KCP and Carushow .

If we don't keep him , we better have a solid replacement for him in place

It's sad that he doesn't get credit for laying his body out on the line as much as he does. Played hurt and he hits the ground for loose balls probably as much as anyone else in the league.

Normally this would make a dude a fan favorite. I think unfortunately he has that pouty face look to him constantly which I think turns people off

Yeah he's bad on the eye test and the advanced metrics.
Brown is the only reasonable defender and probably the only guy really worth getting some minutes

    Both are brutal.

    Dlo/Schroder
    Reaves
    Vanderbilt/Brown
    Lebron/Hachimura
    Davis/Gabriel

Those are the guys that are playable in the post season. Brown barely makes the cut and is only good for 5-7 minutes if any. Walker (and Beasley) are garbage time players.

Beasley is a poor defender overall but he actually can chase a player around screens pretty well .

Brown is good at that lock and trail thing too.

They might be more useful in this series

yeah, now that he's in his proper role, i really like him. he brings an element we need. can that be found elsewhere? maybe--teams find effective waterbug guards all the time. but given the track record of tpmles (not just ours, league-wide they tend to be not very good), if you can get dennis on that for less than three years, that's the path i'd take. we're familiar with him.

Cause you said Walker can get minutes on a good team. He hasn’t shown that yet in his career.

Beasley’s minutes have been a disaster. Hopefully Ham has learned.
