Damn near perfect adjustments from Ham.

Shortened the rotation and made quick adjustments when needed in game.

That was wild. I’m not sure if Ham was really just trolling all the other times he gives Troy and Beasley so much burn etc…

Whatever changed for him today outside of circumstance, man. Incredible stuff. Maybe someone on the staff spoke to him?

MOAR!!!! Shorten that rotation baby. Good job Coach Ham, major props for this move today, keep it up. Great timeout calling too tonight.

I wish someone on the Lakers actually reads our boards and these very insightful comments so they can show it to players or coaching staff especially. That’d be really cool if that actually happens.

Just ... do simple obvious things. Take TOs to stop runs or to calm the team down. Don't play dumb lineups. You can put 3 guards, when it is warranted.

    Don't f***ing play Bron at C.

Masterful job Coach. He had them ready to go. That defense was suffocating. Ain't nobody going to beat that defense four games.

Except we can’t, we should keep Lebron and AD’s minutes down so we can get to the conference finals healthy. After that it’s time to shorten them. So I’m not gonna get too high the same way I didn’t get too low. We’re gonna see Beasley and Brown in the second round of the playoffs.

I just hope he realises we do need a backup to AD when he is off the floor.

    Why not ?

96 minutes to be distributed between DLO , Reaves and DS
96 minutes to be distributed between Bron , Jared and Rui
48 minutes to be distributed between AD and Gabriel

Right now we got PG and SG handled by the 3 guards - no problem.

Then we got Vando and Rui averaging just shy of 48 mins, which covers the SF spot.

Which means we got Lebron and AD covering the majority of mins at PF and C - which is fine but there’s gonna be about 20 mins in the rotation to go around for others to spell them. I think that’s where the mins for Troy Brown Jr and Wenyen come in.

Coached a good series. We dominated those guys and ran it up on a good defense multiple games.

We blew out the best defensive team in the league twice in 6 games and racked up a 16 point win in the first game to boot.

Isiah Thomas on NBA TV commented how he likens Ham instilling Detroit's Bad Boy defense on the team. Don't see it but I'll take it.

He's right. You aren't always going to hit the shots. But the defense should almost always looks like that. Looking forward to the rest of the playoffs, and next year is going to be very exciting.

Ham deserves more credit than he receives. He's a lot more than just some pregame, speech giving, motivator IMO. The Lakers have the best record in the West, since the trade deadline, that's not some kind of fluke.

Very curious about the adjustments for this series.

I think Schroder will probably get DLo's place at some point, at least when closing games.

I don't know basketball enough, but with our usual lineup, would probably have Reaves on Curry, I think our boy struggles more with taller guys than fast ones. He seems to do a good job through screens and he's relentless so should definitely give it all against Steph
I'm not sure if Vando will be a great fit against Curry.
LeBron on Wiggins is likely and DLo on Klay

I think one of Schroder and Reaves need to be in the court when Curry is playing.

Yeah Dlo is going to get cooked ( may cost us Game 1 because of early mistakes GS will take advantage of) , not a series for him at all unless he's agressive from the start and shooting lights out.

Overall I'm way more worried about offense than defense in this series .

Bron and AD have to play smart and not settle for 3's and long 2's

In all Lakers history, Phil is the ONLY guy who's calls I could NEVER predict or understand. Riley was the guy who made me understand how coaches call their plays as even I could predict his substitution patterns and TO's, etc etc. Almost every time. Phil, I could NEVER predict correctly. I kind of just figured he was a crazy genius. You cannot argue with success and he was just a different animal.

To be honest, I prefer having coaches make the more sensible calls. Look at the teams Phil had, super veteran teams with superstar players. They needed someone like Phil, who could mentally reach and motivate them. Not sure someone like Ham would have the same respect.

The guy has made the proper adjustments all season after a 2-10 start. Regardless of the available bodies he had, we played solid, compettive basketball, against all the good teams we faced, in both Conferences.

I'm looking forward to seeing what's his game plan is going to be for this series. Whatever that turns out to be, I'm expecting more of the same, we are going to be in a position to win in the 4th quarter if we execute. Guys gotta make plays
