Good for Kobe, Shaq and ALL the ring is the ONLY thing folks. That’s an impossibly high bar in all sports for “fans” and a hell of a lot of self imposed unhappiness. That’s not to say for an athlete …. especially a top athlete it’s not their goal every year and rightly so.
WTF https://www.yahoo.com/sports/anthon...ir-at-end-of-game-5-per-report-224617358.html Apparently Anthony Edwards swung a chair or something at the end of the game and it hit somebody, and they've pressed charges.
Too many of you are prisoners of the moment. When GSW went down 2-0, they were finished - now they’re finals bound? When we won two in a row and went up 3-1 we were on our way to the finals and now we might not get out of the first round. The playoffs are a game of attrition and the team that wins is the one they can stay healthy and stay with it through the highs and the lows.
Hard to tell what happened from either clip. Chair was in the path he was running and he got reckless with it getting it out of his way in his frustration? Doesn’t excuse hitting people with it if that’s the case but would like to know more what exactly happened.
need another angle on edwards, but i'm inclined to think he was just being reckless and not malicious. yeah, i didn't write the warriors off nor did i write our ticket after game 4. it's amazing how different things can look and feel in a playoff series, but most of the time the cream rises to the top. in our series, i'm honestly not sure which team that is, though i lean in our favor. in gs's, it's gs, by a smaller margin than i expected. but hell, i didn't think miami would beat milwaukee in 5 nor did i think boston would need 6 to take out atlanta. didn't have ny just walking over cleveland, either. i'm bad at this this year.
as a basketball fan in general, it's going to be epic if we get the Lakers - Warriors semi-final. the two greatest players of the post-Kobe era going at each other one last time.
I think some of it is obviously emotions but some of it is what happens in each game. I feel good about us winning game 6 with Memphis but if we don’t, I don’t feel so great about winning game 7. I still think we can do it because it’s tough for any team to win 3 in a row but I still really hope we win game 6 and move on.
Giannis is wrong here , you got the best record in the league and lost to the 8th seed , of course the season is a failure .
Pretty much this. After last game blunder, i put a $100 on MEM making it to the second round. 400 bucks if i was right but it was more of an "anti-jinx". I play once every year or so and always lose
I agree with this. It's playing with too much fire to return to their place for a game 7. Get it done tonight at our house!
One less sniper to worry about. Man if they had had Aquaman available with pig headed Ham we’d really have been bleeped.
I still don't expect us to win this year, but I hope we do. Just don't see Lebron and AD being able to last through a couple more 7 game series. If they do, I will be happy. There have obviously been other years where we looked dominant and we were pretty young. I didn't have worries about our health and stamina, figured if series went long, we would wear the other team out. Not this year though. I still think we have enough skill to get lucky. I think any team left, we could win in 7 games, I just think we could get tired and lose as well.
The videos are out there on this, it happened but it just is not that bad. I mean, perhaps she should pay for the doctor visits if there were any. Then, perhaps, he should get fined by the league. It would be nice of him to apologize. Then it is over.
For LeBron/AD to win another ring, they need the others to win games for them. But this group is still new and it takes time. I think we have a good core to build a team that can held games and save LeBron/AD on some quarters and halves of games
If they are down Luke too, with their main two bigs also out, we have no excuses. None. Boston had a slip and took care of business. Knicks took care of business. So did the Heat, Nuggs, and 6ers. Ws will close tonight too. This is like that 06 game against the Suns, after Kobe’s heroics to go up 3-1. Lakers blew game 6 at home (LO failed to box out and Thomas hit a 3 after an offensive rebound). After that loss, there was no point of even playing a game 7 in Phoenix. I feel like that here.
