yeah, i've now watched this one, and the second half of houston and this game show me that you can't have him and vando (or any non-shooter) in the lineup with our squad (because lebron and AD also aren't shooting threats). love him as a backup, but as long as he's starting, we're very vulnerable, basically against anyone.
Ham's use of Vando remains puzzling: I would have put on THT and let THT goes against the taller/lengthier defender. He definitely had trouble doing bully ball against James for example when switched. What I'm getting at is if you don't maximize Vando by putting him on the other team's best scorer, his liabilities really show up (particularly with non shooting guards)
offensively, you need both guards to be threats to shoot from deep if vando's out there, imo. teams dare schroder. almost like rondo. he hit a couple against utah, iirc, but his man was fully in the paint when he didn't have the ball. so with him AND vando's guy doing that, our big guns can't get to their spots, period. it's like having russ/bev again. if rui's the sf/pf out there with schroder, it changes things, though. should be an easy fix, and is only an issue because russell's out, imo.
"Extreme"? Doesn't sound great. Figured it was the shoulder from the Clipps game before looking it up.
I guess he deserves a game off of soreness, since he been covering everyone else all season to soreness
Dennis deserves to rest a little. He's our iron man so far. Give some of his minutes to Lonnie, right?
I would bet he’s dinged and has something sore with as balls out as he plays, more than he needs the rest. Just guessing.
No Dennis, no win. Great game. 3rd best player and best PG on our roster. You are forgiven for your last stint as a Laker!
He saved this game, he was one of the only players that came in acting like it was a playoff game. I hope he continues his redemption season and gets a nice contract.
