then he needs to provide us with something else for those cold nights, lonnie does better job of attacking imo n i honestly dont see opposing teams defending the lakers any different whether its beasley or lonnie out there, we don't have Brick anymore mucking things up
Who do most here think is better on defense between the two of them? Both seem to try pretty hard. Beasley has a little size on Lonnie and moves his feet decently(?) but Lonnie is more athletic and did come up with 3 steals a couple games ago.
i still say walker not by much n sz wise, lonnie us bigger to me, beasley maybe 1" taller but bulk n muscle goes to lonnie
The starters are awesome and now the bench sucks with AR move. Unless they decide to roll the dice with Max have get Walker or Beasley going. Yeah he sucked balls but I would still consider starting him. Reaves will be great no matter but other players need help
I think it more frustrating when AR gets less than 30 mpg then whether he starts. Look how long it took Vogel to get KCP going and that move was the key to a title run. Problem for the Lakers to be as good as they can be is to get Beasley or walker consistent.
fair than start Walker, he has been better when given mins. Beasley shooting rep preceeeds him, just cant continue to let him chuck it at poor % and how in the hell did he manage 4 TO's?
Yeah, it's a bummer to move AR back to the bench when he's been playing exceptionally well, but we really need his help there and Beasley is not being used correctly in this role. We need as much spacing and shooting as we can get with the starters. Beasley doesn't have to close, Reaves can. The fact is Reaves is just a perfect glue guy and can fit anywhere anytime. Beasley can't. We need to get the best out of him and that's in the starting lineup.
Ugh...he's in his head right now at the worst possible time. I think you gotta stagger his minutes with Bron/Dlo or AD/Reaves...guys that can get him the ball. I think him out there with Schroder just doesn't work because Schroder can't set him up. I do agree with other - need to consider starting him so he can get going early.
Watching our bench sputtering has changed my mind about Austin starting. They really need help and Dennis isn’t enough. They need a setup guy and Reaves has this talent in spades. Also, Lonnie should be getting ALL of Malik’s minutes at this point. Beasley has had enough time to show us something and we’re still waiting.
This is the answer. But you don't have to start him to do it. Just need a coach to not be a dumb a** and sub out 4 at once, but instead stagger him with the units you mentioned above. People who are saying that AR needs to help the bench - that's fine and I agree - but he can both do that and start and close if the coach staggers minutes correctly.
hes not good enough of a shooter to bend over backwards for n start.....just sub him in for dlo at halfway mark. this guy has never been a 40% 3pt shooter I dont know why we we need to go out our way to make him player better...he's a professional, figure it out yourself n be better
If he goes 7-10 from deep in the next game, everyone will love him again. Life of an NBA shooter, hopefully he won't get any death threats, from some of our stupid a** fans like Danny Green did.
