i keep seeing the def has to acct for him on defense for him playing, i dont see opponents def playing any different vs the lakers whether beas is on floor or not
I seriously cannot stand fans that post s*** on people’s social media. Like get a life people, Jesus.
its disappointing to see fans attack players on their social media....or worse giving player death threats like Green got
Because of the volume of lakers fans, say only 1% troll the players, that still a considerable number of people and may in fact equal the number of Clipper fans. Can’t do anything about that.
did he call his 4 year old lil slime? that deserves a comment all by itself hahahahaaha but seriously, if you are going to put yourself out there in public and post stuff for the public, the public will post right back. If you want privacy, be private. Not a fan of fans posting nonsense, ridiculing, and death threats over loses and such, but I have called out one specific player for his narcissism a couple of times. Fans can be brutally honest, and don't necessarily buy all that you are selling if it's BS.
He will bounce back. 14 threes is a little too much for my liking and he also missed a ton of wide open looks. Ham has to be smart though and if he's hurting the team, you have to pull him and save him from himself.
If both lebron and Dlo are back in the starters, I wouldn't mind testing him out among the starters again. He's got a big frontline protecting him on defense and he should get a lot of open looks. Then you bring in reaves/DS off the bench to keep the other team under constant offensive pressure
I actually agree here. Let him get reps with the starters again. Reaves/DS coming in for Dlo/Beas you almost have zero drop-off.
it's tough. you don't want to alienate him and break his confidence, but yeah, you can't just play him when he's not helping. we had similar issues with lonnie. i think if ham wants to start reaves, that makes perfect sense. beasley and lonnie should be in a "what have you done for me lately?" battle for the other sg minutes. when camp comes next year, i think christie should have a shot at those minutes, too.
In theory Malik should get higher quality looks playing with Lebron and D'Angelo. He should also give both a little more space to drive, if his man is going to stick to him. He has to make shots though, because those 3 won't be the best perimeter defenders we can field. I like the idea of getting him on the floor early with 3 guys, that can force teams to help, then he has a chance to get some easy looks, which will help him get a rhythm going, hopefully for the rest of the game. I really don't think Austin needs Lebron or D'Angelo to get his offensive game going at all.
Reaves should keep starting and I think Christie will take those minutes next season. Ham can be a little slow on the draw like he was with Reaves but eventually he will have to play him. Max has already shown he is a more complete player. He should have been playing more this season and he would be further along. It wasn't like he was going to cost us games with the line ups we put out there. The guy is a rookie so he can't get playing time is pretty lame. If a rookie can bring that kind of game I start developing him right away unless I have some powerhouse stacked team. Malik is a great role guy if he is hot. If he isn't it is hard to justify minutes.
again, problem is shooters typically need consistent time and shots. you don't know when they're going to be cold, so they at least need a shot most nights. we'll have a full camp to look at options next year.
Max would foul out by halftime, if he got heavy minutes. He's not ready yet, especially, if you are talking about advancing in the playoffs. I don't know for a 100% certainty , that Austin is ready for that either yet. I think he's going to elevate his game. We will see shortly, the playoffs are an entirely different game.
The way I look at it if shooting is what you offer you better come in hot ready to go. I would give him minutes every game as the 7-8th guy. You start 0-4, 1-5 pretty much see you next game. The alternative is to put in the work and become a more complete player.
How Max learns to not do that is playing time. If he got more minutes through the season he would be ready. You don't know for 100% certainty about any of them. Not even AD and Lebron at this point. You just have to go with what you see on the court. Trying to make it too complicated and over thinking is what gets most in trouble. I trust my eyes. The most complete players, which Max is certainly one of, should be the priority. Keep them around and develop them vs swapping out role players every year. It is the one or two trick ponies that concern me. Max is a pretty easy call.
Next year maybe..he hasn't earned the right to play ahead of anyone in the guard rotation today. I don't see it at all, he's a nice prospect and should get a chance to compete next season. This one? Not
