The "beta" talk is just beyond obnoxious.

just the dumbest discourse, period, for several reasons.

is this like when anthony irwin's sage observations were held up as evidence that rob didn't know what he was doing and needed to be fired?

just because a guy has a platform doesn't mean he knows s***. i had to listen to mark jackson the other night!

AD didn't wake up. both we and phx changed what we were doing, and it enabled him to get some buckets, which is apparently all anyone cares about.

    No, he woke up.
He plays passively a lot of the time.
That’s my opinion and what I witness with my eyes.
You are entitled to your own opinion.
I’m done with this merry go round.

several months later, a clear accounting of the injury all in the span of two sentences:

i remember people (bitterly) complaining about a superfluous leg kick causing the injury when that seemed incredibly unlikely. sounds like it was during the pushoff, which always made a lot more sense. and secondly, the real concern is the stress reaction, which may or may not be connected to the chip from the bone spur, but the cause of the pain is that, not the loose bone spur. thus, the pain is probably pretty constant.

weird quote from AD re: kareemgate:

AD would also like to keep this team together:

on being a laker, again, interesting...

I mean yeah, AD talks a lot, always has, but often doesn’t back up that talk on the court. Often will say something like oh this is a must win, we have to have better effort, we have to have urgency, we have to start a winning streak now, this is on me. Then he comes out the next game like he just ate an entire pizza and a six pack by himself. I love AD, but he’s far from perfect and what he says a lot of the time doesn’t match his on court mentality. But ok, sure, he’s looked super hungry for number 18, and anyone who says otherwise is just a big hater, I’m a smelly AD hating jerk. See, I can use hyperbole too. Love what AD has done for us, extremely nervous about the next time he gets injured, hope we move on next time that happens, it’s not personal. Also hoping ar the same time that we get Denver round 1, beat them, gather momentum and ride it to a championship and I look stupid, would love nothing more. It’s ok to criticize a player when their effort doesn’t match their ability and/or contract, but whatever I guess. Also, good on AD for playing hurt, but it’s the NBA, in late March, pretty much everyone is playing hurt, it’s the job.

Super clever. I wonder how it would look and go down if I were to mock the people blindly defending players here in the same manner. Not well I imagine.

I wouldn't be surprised if AD had some mental health issues but won't open up about it .

You sure seem to get offended the most when I say the AD criticism is frequently and unwarrantly over the top, especially in Game Time. Whatever man. It's more than just my opinion just like your opinion is not the only one similar.

You’re seeking out the argument, the conflict. Your post was passive aggressive. What sort of response do you think that post is intended to receive? “Someone will have a problem with all that. Probably”. You’re calling someone out before they’ve even said anything. You don’t see why that would warrant a combative or defensive response? That’s like if AD had a monster game and I said “ooh the haterz here are NOT gonna like this one!”, or if he had a horrible game and I said “who boy the AD defenders are gonna go hide in a hole after this one, where you guys at!”. It’s inviting conflict, it’s calling it out, if you can’t see that I’m not sure what to tell you. I’m not telling you or anyone else how to post, but if you had just said something like “love those answers from AD”, I wouldn’t have said anything, because what you love is your business. You can say whatever you want here, but don’t get all huffy if you receive the appropriate response to it, your comment wasn’t your opinion, it was a passive aggressive call out, which you do very frequently here, along with the “I told you so” stuff.

AD is probably the league's best defender and also averages 25 and 12. i think he is good, and you should want him on your team. ATTACK!

That was a good article on AD - nobody is more frustrated than he is regarding his injury history.

I respect his honesty and it seems like he really wants to be a Laker, which I def appreciate.

Let's hope AD can lead us to the playoffs as it's looking very likely that LeBron is out for the season. It's a good preview of what our team will be post-LeBron and whether AD can actually be #1 option on a contender.

Nope. AD is the perfect basketball player. He is beyond reproach! We can’t say anything bad about him because he has zero flaws. He should be called the GOAT. How dare you even question his place at the top of the human race!
See, I can play this game too.

Yes that's what's really being said from those that think all the bashing, especially in Game Time is over the top. He's perfect. The opposite goes on around here, when he's not perfect or has less than great games it's open season reflexively on him by many.

Yeah, I’m laughing at the attempts. People are readying pitchforks on 7-point halves and claiming that people saying that’s stupid are irrational.
