I remember that play, but you can’t go around punching people in the chest in an NBA game, he’s literally beating on him like a frustrated 8 year old in a kids league whose parent has taught him wrong and pushed him too hard and is screaming at him from the sidelines to play dirty. If there’s one NBA player who deserves whatever he gets it’s Chris Paul, he probably did something we didn’t see to deserve that shove, like covertly nut-shot Beverley earlier in the series, he’s a POS.

I checked the official NBA rule book and JSM's right:

Section V, Rule 12 d:6: A technical foul shall be assessed for unsportsmanlike tactics such as :
d:6: A deliberately-thrown elbow or any unnatural physical act towards an opponent with no contact involved, unless the player receiving said unnatural act is Patrick Beverly.

Hey, I was as surprised as anyone that this is there, and now we can joke about it since he's not with us anymore. And besides, I sorta perversely enjoyed the gnat-like annoyingness of P-Bev. Just as long as he's not playing us.

CP3 has never gotten called out enough by fans as one of the classic cheap-shot artists. So much so he got that gig with State Farm Insurance.

    Irony!

Chest punches and hits below the belt are dirty. Since college CP has come into contact with other men's packages more than most adult entertainment workers. But Bev's tactics put the careers of his victims in jeopardy. The CP shove, the Russ knee dives. To me, that's on another level.

I hate CP and he is certainly dirty, but when in a battle with Bev, I'm siding with CP every time out.

I live here in SC, and to see how Ja Morant is self destructing is pretty incredible. He grew up in a small city called Sumter, which is two hours from Myrtle Beach. Sumter is no different than most small cities with sporadic crime and violence. He was pretty much raised in a middle class family. I honestly think the gang culture of Memphis has been his undoing. Kid needs to grow up and get his head out of his a** in a hurry.

I would be much happier if they took each other out.

Last summer this fool said he'd cook Jordan in his prime... reality going to hit him hard. He's a minor injury away from becoming average with below average fundamentals. Hoping he matures.

again, so much iverson in so many ways. if he loses even a small amount of athleticism, he's done for. he makes a lot of dumb choices from which his athleticism bails him out. but i think that's separate from his off-court stuff. anyway, glad it's not our problem.

I remember the quote about (kicking Jordan’s butt) and remarked that he probably thought he could Kobe’s too)

The way Harden used to barrel into guys around the key going to the rim, searching for the foul, Ja does a lot of that high in the air. Agree with abeer that he’s got feet in his landing zones with his name on them just waiting ……

I'd take a punch in the chest over a trip or ball punch any day of the week.

Have you forgotten when he tried to trip Bron’s arm out of the socket on a free throw miss rebound attempt? His own friend? He’s a dirty POS. Bev sucks too, but I will take a shove in the back over a punch in the crotch. It will make me very happy if Chris Paul ends his career without a ring, Bev I couldn’t care less. I don’t wish injury on anyone, but Paul and the Suns push that really, really hard.

If it's his and my money says it is given the other gun incident from the summer, he better hope there is no way they can prove it was on the plane or in the locker room and a member of his entourage will claim to have transported it for him. Hell, the gun is small enough that they can claim his friend transported it the same way Butch's gold watch was moved.

I think CP couldn't help himself in the Bron incident, he's like a crack fiend when it comes to a dirty play. He went too long and saw red.

On the below the belt his vs. an unexpected shove or going after someone knees multiple times. Can't agree. Not even a little. A nut check will hurt like hell but it isn't going to put your career in jeopardy.

I wish nothing but the worse for the Suns. I hate CP, KD, and Book. There's not a single team out west who I hope has more struggle and failure. CP is dirty, KD is a coattail riding j******, and Book is a cocky little punk who needs a good slap to take that dumb look off his face.

I can't say I don't wish injury on anyone. If you're someone who has tried to injure others, I'm fine with you getting seriously hurt -- Bev, Grayson Allen, Crowder are at the top of that list.

I kind of agree. Where kind of means totally!!! LOL
Personally, I cannot wait for the day when someone clobbers Grayson. Wish Shaq was still playing and could rag doll him!

Wow. Shawn Kemp arrested for being (allegedly) involved in a drive-by. Damn.

I've heard his name used a lot by the "NBA shouldn't be allowed to draft high schoolers" argument. But we Laker fans have seen Kobe and Lebron and they good. Still...if true and he gets convicted that's some more Dark History of the NBA jit.

Paging Ja Morant: learn from others' mistakes, man! STAT!

Damn. Did FVV send Silver the blank check before the presser? Cause this one is going to be costly.

lol, awesome. i like how he just calmly delivered the hammer. i wonder what he was specifically referencing.

i will say that had we lost that memphis game, i'd have had some gripes with that officiating crew. when they called AD's nose hit a common foul (ok, though i think the rule isn't about intent...) and then gave beasley a tech for undercutting like two minutes later...it was just sort of consonant with how the rest of the game was officiated. thought svg was going to lose it when they didn't call aldami (who was apparently michael jordan to that crew) for literally shoving him in the chest to avoid getting crammed on.

and that eric lewis stuff is genuinely troubling. people were (appropriately) worried about refs gambling, but refs just picking favorites (or having them ahead of time) is also a huge problem.
