Can you play on a lisfranc tear? That does not seem possible even for Lebron.

I'm.betting a partial plantar fascia tear. Just don't a full tear.or fracture he could have finished the game

Does anyone remember what foot he was working on after he passed Kareem? I remember Chris Haynes reported he's dealing with "unbearable pain". I figured it was his left foot but I'm wondering if that's when his right one also started acting up?

And this is why you don’t rely on the guy with the most mileage on his body by far to remain healthy, play 36 minutes a night, and lead your team to any real success.
Trade him and AD this summer. This is just beyond stupid. We won’t get a massive haul, but it’s better than trying the same thing over and over and over again when it FAILS every single time.

As good as the new guys are, I now don't think we'll make the play-in. The Old Man means too much to this team.

It would be a galvanizing thing if they prove me wrong here. But put me down on the Negative Nelly side of the pool. Fer crissakes! THIS BLOWS!

There's only 21 games left. I suspect - but of course don't know - that we're watching to see how the new team starts to emerge chemically.

We should be a Top 5 team in the West next year. But that feels like years from now, not months, eh?

Top 5 team If AD and LeBron don’t miss large chunks of the season, again.

Of course! As would be true for any other very good team with more than one superstar. If the Joker went down, would the Nugs even get out of the first round this year? I doubt it.

The difference is Joker isn’t 38 years old, nor does he have the extensive injury history of AD. I’ve seen enough of this song and dance. I’m just ready to move on this summer. If not, this team will be the exact same thing with Championship hopes falling short due to AD and LeBron missing too many games.

What's so deflating about the Lebron news was his writhing in agony, saying "I heard something pop" - and I immediately thought, "season's over."

But he gets up and KILLS in the rest of the game. I thought "he must have heard something else pop, because he's as bad-a** as ever." He favored the foot, but was really good. On a seriously injured foot? How does he just kick in his endorphins with a snap of the finger?

Went to bed thinking we actually get to the play-in, just roll over whoever we play and win the first round. That's how optimistic I was after the DAL come-from-behind-from-27 down-Vanderbilt-is Rodman, etc scenario.

Yea man: deflated. Hurts. Not gonna lie. It's been pretty rough being a Laker fan post-Bubble.

This is why there is no regret to have about poor roster construction during the latest 1.5 years

Westbrook or not , Pelinka or not , Lebron can't stay healthy anymore ( which is totally normal with his mileage) and has been significantly injured during 4 of his 5 seasons with the Lakers

so first lebron does his playoff mode thing, then he gets hurt? yep, it's 2019 again.

anyway, at this point, the best hope we have is that it doesn't keep him out of any games next year, as this year's probably shot.

He will be back if the rest of the guys can keep the team afloat and in the play-in.

it really depends on the injury. if it's lisfranc that requires surgery (think chet holmgren), he may not play another game as a laker (or maybe anywhere). if it's a plantar injury, it depends on the severity. i'm guessing this is something like what AD had in 2021, which probably rules him out for the year, imo.

But one of the posts above says there is no structural damage and the injury is not season ending. It's like a plantar injury of some sort.
