I got to admit, i really didn't know much about this guy before we got him, but i actually had tears of joy in my eyes watching him play defense in that 2nd half... Thank you Rob, for making Lakers Basketball watchable again.
I swear you can not make lazy passes while Van is on the court. Every game so far I’ve seen him read a play on defense, crouch down and intercept the swing pass above the 3pt line. This guy’s B Ball IQ is so high.
His rebounding is also awesome, kid is tenacious around the rim, looks like another Rodman type clone at times.
We absolutely crushed the Russ trade. This guy alone would have been worth it, straight up (you know, sans that whole cap thing).
Lakers crowds would go nuts if he golded out his hair like Rodman paying homage to that kind of effort and mentality. Luka probably goes for 40+ today in that game without him.
They were highlighting it on the ABC broadcast, but he gets really high on his jumps for the rebound. He'll be out of position but just out jumps the other guys.
Oh definitely. He’s an instant fan favorite already and that would take him to the next level. Just a great game from him today.
much like our first russ trade, one could easily make the case that ANY of the three guys traded for russ was better than russ. man, that was painful to type.
Nope..but all hating on Westbrook aside, we don't get these guys for KCP and Kuz. The Russ trade worked out great.

SMH...Who cares? You cats are still stuck on the Westbrook " a superstar" jazz. Idagaf..we got 3 starters for Russ. We wouldn't have gotten these guys for Kuz and Kcp...we wouldn't have won s*** with them either. I don't get the argument here. The whole Russ experiment was a successful transaction. We have more talent now, than we did when we traded for him. What exactly is the problem?
